o dear, people actually think hatton was drained at his own natural weight which he admited was the most effective weight for him to box at??.

If anything he was less effective at welterweight,he had had about 1 fight at the weight, and admitted he wasnt that comfortable with the weight, and after the fight commented on the weight being an issue,i.e. too heavy, slowed him down, wasnt as strong as 140 vs 140 ers.

Also floyd got bothered the hell out of by hatton for the first part of that fight, hattons closing of distance was good,he had very quick feet, and was non stop with pressure, imagine how quick pac is with his closing down and how he will apply smart pressure with much more danger and inteligence to his style that floyd just wont be ready for.

I'm gonna say for sure he was or was not because it didn't change the outcome of the fight. Pacquiao destroyed Hatton because his team dissected his style and Pac Man countered him beautifully.

As far as Hatton and his weight, I know he was a bit of a crash dieter. He also moved up in weight to 147 because he was struggling in making the weight to 140. Once at 147 he struggled because the guys were too big. I think if he never allowed himself to get fat in between matches he would probably been best at 140. He was still a world class competitor at 140, but I would guess the weight cutting did hurt him, but that's his fault.

To be fair, Hatton looked ****in dead at the weight, but no one gives it as a reason why Pac outclassed him so badly. It didnt help Hatton fought like a ******.

Hatton was faded and not very confident perhaps but he was in good shape

For the record I like both Mayweather and Pacquiao so I suppose I am a ******* and a ***** ???

The only fights where I thought Pacquiao's opponents were/looked weight drained to me was Cotto and De La Hoya !!!!

Well he didn't look good at the weight in and D. Fisher said that he was drinking bottle after bottle after making weight. That said he spent a longer training camp so it was logical to make weight easily. His official excuse was that he was over trained not weight drained :)

The number of *****s decreases everyday. They realize now to be the greatest you need to:

    a) Fight the best in their prime to prove your the best and take challenges unlike fighting a lightweight at 147.
    b) throw more than 3 punches a round
    c) not get wobbled in all of your big WW tests
    d) Not retire 2x because the 2 best opponents who are destroying people you had to take rounds to figure out how to beat want to fight you.
    e) actually be rated #1 P4P not #2 and then be removed completely.

Dude I'm a big fan of Money's fight style! And just for your edification; Ricky hatton has never been in issue on any level to the American fight fan. You're trying to start a Hatton thread post Kosta Tsztyu is a waiste of your time and ours. Nobody is the least bit concerned about Ricky or any facet or era of is career. Not a world class boxer now or ever! Least of all fans of the sweet science. So I don't know where this thread is coming from, but something ain't right!
