He was at the casino in Southend. He was a really nice guy, he was with his girlfriends family but he still talked to me and took a picture. He said how all the Groves talk is just hype, but he still doesnt like him lol. I was impressed with him as a person, the disrespect he gets from certain people is unwarranted.
If he acted how he did with you infront of the cameras there wouldn't be an issue. DeGale knows that he is doing. He has decided to take on the Audley/Naz bad guy role.
There are times when he has seemed like a decent bloke, he just trash talks to hype fights I'd say. It works because a lot of casual fans will probably tune in to see if Groves can beat him where they may not even have bothered to watch otherwise.
Yep true he's going to do very well because he understands the enterainment side of the business, which is something many boxers never get to grips with.
The old cliche is that its doesn't matter if they are paying to watch you lose or paying to watch you win, just as long as they are paying....
Audley didnt ever play the Bad guy role, he tried playing the peoples champion, except the people hated him. He tried being the new Frank Bruno.
Totally agree. I met him at the Mayweather work-out session and he was very down to earth and had plenty of time for everyone. He has definitly decided to adopt the "bad boy" role for boxing and good luck to him.
