    Because they love Boxing.Mexico is a country mad about the sweet science.Boxing matches are on every week.They love it.Still that doesn't explain the love for Pacquiao. Manny has a spanish last name loves to slug it out and those are the fighters Mexico love.

    IMHO Mayweather if far from being a marketing genius. Just look at all those potential supporters gathered for Pacquiao and he's not tapping into that.

    in addition to that, his friendly gesture towards the mexicans he fought contributed to that and pac fights similar to mexicans style. thats why they love him.
