I don't live in Mexico but I'm pretty sure If you know one you have to know the other.

Edit: If you ask someone who JCC Jr. is most will assume its his son so I say he is more popular due to his dad.

He asked who was more popular.

Canelo is more popular with Mexicans living in the United States, and in Mexico. A lot of Mexicans have mixed feelings about Jr. because they see him as a spoiled rich kid

People feel Canelo is the real fighter while Jr is just a spoiled rich kid like the above guy said.

Never read any (translated) interviews of his; does he come across like that or is he humble?

He's humble. He says he trains hard and gives it his all in the ring(like any other boxer). The thing is he has huge shoes to fill and people don't want those shoes filled.

He is always humble, he talks like the guy from the next door, and he sounds like an honest guy.

About who is more popular, I will say they are just about the same that's why everyone wants to watch them fight.

Put it this way, who would get more respect from people despite both being humble and hard workers.

    1. Guy who grew up poor with tons of siblings

    2. Guy with famous dad who gave him access to the best trainers since little

Jr. is humble and you can tell from the way he fights, he wants to be the opposite of a spoiled kid. He wants to be mas macho. He's a real blood and guts warrior. He tried to dress "more mexican" than Rubio. hilarious
