:rofl more athletic ? Slower and less coordinated means he"s a better athlete ? Or just because he"s black ?

In the peak of his prime, Michael Grant was actually an underrated contender. His skills might not have been pretty and he had poor defense.. But he hit hard, was a big athletic man, had a lot of heart and compiled a pretty good record up to the Lewis fight... But even then, I'm not so sure what kind of a fight he would have been for the Klitschkos. Today it would be a mismatch.

Klit's are clumsy too but Grant pretty much trips over himself.

Mike Grant? He has an awful Glass Jaw. Vitali would shatter it just by staring at him. Grant is awful.

Underrated? He was ridiculously over-hyped actually. Grant was on the cover of boxing magazine after boxing magazine, with writers talking about him like he was the next HW champion or something. :patsch At the time, I told everyone I knew this guy would not amount to much, particularly after his shaky whiskers were exposed in the Golota fight.

NEWSFLASH: Grant lost to Adamek, and was LOSING on the scorecards to Botha....a guy Wladimir knocked out almost 10-years ago.

You must not have seen him fight when he was coming up. He was a tremendous athlete for his size. Showed as good or even better athleticism than the Klits. I'm fairly sure I saw a picture of Grant doing a backflip after a victory in the late 90s in an old boxing magazine.

    This from his wiki:

"A natural born athlete before boxing he blossomed into a three-sport star at Chicago's Harper High School.

He was a right handed pitcher who drew attention from the Kansas City Royals, an imposing two-way player at tight end and defensive end on the football field and a front court force on the basketball court.

Grant still gets fired up thinking about his varsity debut. Grant graduated in 1991 and went on to play football at Mount San Antonio College near Los Angeles. At 6-foot-7, he was a towering defensive end looking to leap to a major college program. But poor grades forced him to the sidelines."

    Depends which brother he faces
Against Vitaly he'd get KO'd early like in the Lewis fight
Against Wlad, boring fight ending in a late KO

Way better figjt than Mormeck. Grant is actually tall enough to hit the Klitschko's but his chin is glass.

Grant was a very good athlete...which just goes to show that it takes more than athletic ability to make a boxing champion.

I get your premise except that Grant is not more athletic than the Klitschko's. The brothers often get shortchanged in the athletic department as well. Comes with the lack of melanin, I suppose.
