Kimbo and White make some good points about not telegraphing punches in this demo vid -: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wdPP0TmqKiU[/ame]
I was talking about him just yesterday with a high level karate guy, he was amazed at his technique, I don't think I've seen anything of him since Spawn
He demos what he's talking about very well in the vid. He doesn't load up on his punches. Just lets them rip.
michael jai white is a beast love those undisputed movies but too bad he doesnt wanna fight in the UFC
while those punches land they are weak as hell. I doubt you can even use that type of punch as a setup
I think it would be a great setup punch. But I do agree that it's mostly an arm punch. Without using hip/shoulder movement, you'd have to step with it to add any power.
Michael Jai White holds about 8 legitimate blackbelts. Taekwondo, Karate, Akido, Sho-Shan, Judo, Jujitsu, etc... he holds Blackbelts in all plus others. Certified ass whipper.
He learn the skills and technique similar to lawyers when they finish law school, but have they actually practice law in a complicated case? Doesn't make him a real fighter. You see the difference right? Does he have any professional boxing or MMA fight?
For setting up your opponent for bigger punches they are ideal. But no they are not going to KO opponents on their own.
Would you fight him? He's a former full contact karate tournament winner. He spars at various gyms to.
It's a great video and he gives us great techniques for street fights but c'mon...if if was that easy in 200+ years of boxing nobody has dominated using this technique? Rem,ember Kimbo is standing there but imagine if he was 245lbs dancing around, weaving bobbing and throwing back....Jai White would be WIDE open!!!!!! Good video though but any wrestler would make Jai gas in MMA
