Indeed, Marquez should not have chased this particular fight unless he was just looking for a payday. I take it then you don't have much confidence in JMM's chances. The good thing though is that the man will retire in style, and he absolutely deserves a good retirement.

It might not be, but what does that have to do with me?

Oh wait, you think I'm a *******?? LOL, you need to have a debate with poster who thinks I'm a ***** troll.

I guess I'm doing something right when the fanatics think I'm on the opposite side of them.

Its not about having or not having confidence in Marquez........

......the reality is that he'll be 38 years old at the time he fights Pacquiao and up two weight divisions from where he's at now.

A great fighter like Marquez who's studied Pacquiao well, you dont count out.......

I am one who for the rematch in this very forum when most thought Pacquiao would steamroll Marquez, many times said, "Marquez will boxistically dominate Pacquiao, there will be no excuses from me for the performance in the ring by Marquez."
I was repeatedly asked in this forum by *******s before the rematch if I would have any excuses.
Emphatically I said, "no excuses for any performance Marquez turns in. I have no reason to believe he will not dominate Pacquiao again."

I was correct in my assesment, but this is a different situation now.

    1. We know Pacquiao is a PED user.....

    and

    2. Marquez will be a 38 year old lightweight climbing the ring against that PED user.

Free play downfield.....ohhhhh how sweet it will be if again Marquez puts on a boxing clinic!:deal:bbb:yep

Didnt JMM priced himself out after their first fight where he got a gift draw cause of a judge's scorecard error only to go to Indonesia and fight then unknown Chris John for pennies?

Marquez is permanently damaged from the Mayweather fight.

Re: your opinion about PAC being a juicer, we have less proof of that than we have that Margie was a regular hand-wrapper. While I wouldn't be surprised if you turn out to be one of those silly geese who think that Margie hasn't rightfully earned a single win on his record (and I think that would be dead wrong, BTW), fact is we have nothing that proves Pac's a user. All you have is your speculation, and considering you think I'm a *******, your speculation doesn't weigh very much.

That said, I agree that Marquez and Pac should have fought years ago, although from a pure financial standpoint Bob Arum was right and it was good for the both Pac and JMM that they waited a few years. If they had fought in 2008 a second time, do you really think either of them would've made more money than they will this November? Marquez was denied the opportunity for a rematch in 2008, but we shouldn't shed any tears for him all things considered. By building up his own rep and allowing Marquez to do the same over the past 3 years, Pac actually may have done JMM a favor.

Besides, if Marquez would have just rematched Pac right after their first fight, this would never have gotten to this point. So JMM should accept some of the blame here, especially since he took the Chris John fight (a really dumb move on his part) instead.

LOL, May dominated that fight on points, but all he did was tickle Dinamita. Few fighters are man enough to really hurt JMM, and that's a scientific fact.

You have alot of homework to do to debate me on this topic, the highlighted is simply 100% erroneous.

You need knowleadge on the history of Marquez-Pac, in order to debate me intelligently.

I may have been wrong about the Chris John part, but I'm not wrong about Marquez making more money now than he would have if he had a 3rd fight with Pac in 2008. If you can show me how the man would have made more money in a 2008 3rd fight, by all means educate me.

BTW, I'm not really debating you....yet.
