Styles makes fights and Nunn was all wrong for joe c. That jab...speed...slickness and timing is what a prime Nunn had. His defense was good too.
Calzaghe was busy involved in the promotion for the Jones fight, which took time. I dont recall anything about him having weight to remove before Hopkins, but with Jones I do, as shown by Serge. As said, you posted from opinion not fact This content is protected How do you pick Nunn when he lost at SMW to a 21-13-2 fighter at SMW? What were Nunns big SMW wins? What were Nunns big wins in any division where it wasnt a fighter who had come up from a lower weight? Why do you pick Nunn when looking at the form line below in that Nunn - lost to Toney who lost to Jones who Calzaghe beat - lost to Rocchigiani who lost to Eubank who Calzaghe beat - lost to Liles who lost to Mitchell who Calzaghe beat - lost to 21-13-2 Little who lost to Liles who lost to Mitchell who Calzaghe beat ??? Is that another duck, to the questions below? Dont know how you think this post is years old? Still cant answer the questions :hi: This content is protected How do you pick Nunn when he lost at SMW to a 21-13-2 fighter at SMW? What were Nunns big SMW wins? Some fighters have times when they have trouble making weight or have alot of weight to lose late on for whatever reason. Can happen in any fight with any opponents
I can see it being a distraction for anyone, not only fighting but promoting the fight. Do you think Calzaghe having to sweat out 6 lbs the day of the weigh in hurt his performance? I am not so sure.. he has some of the best stamina I have ever seen, you would think a good workout in a sweat suit would take care of it. I used to sweat out more than that in wrestling, and I had to wrestle the same day and then weigh in the next morning again for that day of wrestling, but they gave you an extra pound for each day.
People can imagine how it would be through Brewer but their styles were very different. Nunn was capable of the best like Knocking out in the first round Kalambay and winning MD close to Iran Barkley at MW, at SMW he lost his title to a midget in Steve Little but was robbed in Colombia in the supporting fight of the Hopkins-Mercado MW IBF Title fight and that was against Frankie Liles in a very good scrap of two lefties. I never understood how come guys like Doctor of Style Tim Littles who only lost to James Toney in a Thrilla and to Fabulous Frankie in another Thrilla in the UK, Newcastle, never fought Joe himself or Fabulous Frankie or Michael Nunn who disputed the WBA title at 168...(???)
no. but well doen at least you are remotely considering how wrong you are by questioning your post integrity. instead of believing it is fact, give it a few more years and the truth will dawn on you.
