That's what I was going to say too - getting caught by a big shot from Toney is hardly something to be ashamed about. Toney has twice the skills Calzaghe has.
I wasnt talking about Nunn. Never did like him. I was saying James Toney would knock Cazaghe out -- quicker than he did Nunn. Nunn runs. Calzaghe is right there and thinks he is King Kong.

Nunn was good at Super Middle but wasn't as good as Calzaghe. Nunn lost to Frankie Liles who was good but not great.
Nunn was far better at 160. At 168 he was much slower and out of shape. Calzaghe beats him at that weight, but don't forget that at 160 Nunn was one of the fastest fighters of all-time and that version of Nunn badly outboxes Calzaghe.
I favour him confidently. You ought to be asking, 'what are Toney's chances at 168', because he's at several disadvantages, where as Joe only had to worry about his great counter right and how to nullify it. Joe's whole style is bad for Toney, a defensive inside fighter/counter puncher. I've always contested that it would be Joe 8 rounds to 4 prime to prime at 168.
Looks like another thread solely designed to soothe the flaking egos of the U.S. fanboy posse ( Respect out there to the REAL Yankee fans). Any other decent Middleweights that should be brought up as kryptonite for Joe. Rick Frazier anyone?

Dude, If you havent seen the dozens of threads out there which basically are out to cut down fighters (Calzaghe), I'd be surprised. Nigel Benn smashes Nunn, The Dark Destroyer Indead.
Calzaghe would have sent Nunn into obscurity, nobody would have even heard of him today had he fought a 22 year old Calzaghe, years ago.
