I believe Watson had the skills to outpoint Sibson. Sibbo gets a few good whacks in,though.

Watson would box behind a high guard as in the benn fight , Sibson would have to hook to the body early to bring those hands down . Good fight this

    Watson ud12

Sibson v Benn would be an exciting one.

There would be some left hooks flying in that one.

Sibbo gets under appreciated on the Internet. Most just look at the Hagler defeat (which was arguably Hagler at his very best that night), and because of what happened, people will always (rightly) have a soft spot for Michael.

This is a very close fight and an interesting mesh of styles. I think Watson could just about hold Tony off and edge the decision, but if Sibson could of made it a 15 rounder, he may just of had what it took to win.

I agree with you there, I think Hagler really was at his best that night. I think he has been quoted though as saying Sibson hit him harder than anyone. I was always a fan of Sibson, I saw all his fights, Frankie Lucas onwards. I was really surprised how Hagler handled him that night.

After the hagler fight didn't sibson fight John Collins over in the states which really showed some balls on sibson's part as Collins was supposed to be a hot prospect and in America was favoured to beat sibson . Sibson done a really good number on Collins beating him in the second. And sibson seemed on his way to gaining a rematch with hagler then after one more win he lost in a shock to don lee . I know he had a couple decent wins after that but he was never really top class again shame as he was good to watch
