    Abit too reminiscent of Ali in 96 too.

    should let him hes a great role model, the way he has bounced back from his accident and what hes overcome even completing the london marathon. If they don't let him do it they should let him do one of the final stages like on the track in the arena or something.

    an inspiration and his book is a great read. like people have already said i think it will be a former Olympian, who lights it but it would be great if he could have some part in it

    Nah, this wouldn't sit well with middle England.

    It's more likely to be Redgrave or some disabled person.

    Course they do, he was fighting when boxing was on terrestrial telly and was up there with Benn and Eubank.

    I was in the pub the other day and saw the advert for the Coke Olympic torch appeal. had exactly the same thought.
