Micky Vann - Howard Foster's stoppage of the Carl Froch-George Groves fight was brave and perfect

This is what good officiating is all about - recognising the signs before any permanent damage is done

Looks to me like it's just Vann sticking up for a fellow official.

That stoppage was poor, I don't understand how anyone can argue it.

If any damage was done it was to Carl Froch. He ate an unreal amount of Flush hard shots.

The old boys network are clubbing together now. By this time next month history will have been rewritten as Groves having had his life saved by a courageous Howard Foster, who in turn will be recommended for an MBE.

But really it was a standard British ref stoppage. That's what it is to these people - normal.

If that was a "perfect" stoppage then we would never see a 12 rounder again.

The whole thing is so, so dodgy. Boxing in this country is a disgrace.
