He's supposed to be fighting today, but there's no news on opponent as of yet.

Needless to say, I have my reservations as of this moment.

Well in the Emerald Isle it's 01:30 am, 6th of August, 2011. Ipso facto, Aguacerito is scheduled to fight today.

    :blood

    So there.

IIRC, Moses had only beaten fringe contender Kobori (was that his name?!?) and was inactive, but still, nice to see Acosta pressure rather than counter, and he made easy work of him.

Yep, Kobori. He also defeated Shimada, who if I remember had just come off a win over Ameth Diaz, so he had got two relatively decent defences in before Acosta.

I rate Moses, nice, tidy boxer. Got a very good jab and some fast hands to go with it. Not a guy who'll you'll see at the top of the division, but quite easily a top 10 talent IMO.

    Press Release.

If you are in Venezuela, weigh 10 stones (give or take a few) and have worn boxing gloves in your lifetime, make your way to La Guaira and ask for Juilo at the Mondongo bar for a chance to make a few bob this evening.

    No time wasters please

I´ve read hes going to return on Sep 10 and drops back down to 130lbs his foe will likely be Luis Zambrano also they reportedly reached a verbal agreement regarding a fight with 130lbs WBA king Takashi Uchiyama later this year...

Uchiyama-Acosta is a dream match-up...Surely Uchiyama's team wouldn't actively seek such a high risk, low reward type of fight, though?
