Salido left Big Bear and hired Memo. Really a perfect match pairing up two of the dirtiest mofos in the game. I'm only surprised it took this long.
If this happen, Berchelt has a very solid year. Vargas, Miura and now Salido. With a win he should be a candidate for fighter of the year. Although he might got pushed out by the more recognised names. Still a very quality run. As for Salido, I agree with @SnatchBox that he should have taken the Loma rematch. I think this is a tough match up and won't make him half the money.
I agree with you, but Salido thinks that the Loma rematch will always be there for him whenever he wants it. So by fighting someone else first, even for half the money, he thinks he can get paid twice.
Good point. Although if he look bad in this fight, the rematch would be a bit pointless and might be a hard sell. Salido has been very inactive fighting once or twice per year. Loma might just never look back.
Lomachenko has been trying to get Salido into the ring for a long time now, but for some reason Salido won't fight him...................Salido knows he will get knocked out, but he would have made good money, he won't get nearly as much with this fight.....................he should have fought Lomachenko.............
I'd watch that! Sad thing about it though is that it would probably mean Salido is going to lose, and then Loma vs Salido II will probably never happen.
