he will get in the hall but i dont like how is 2nd half of his career has been. his managment n all that. well really i just dont like the mayorga fight . he should have never taken that fight, there were so many top 154 guys that i would like cotto to fight. good thing is he can still fight but its looking clearly that hes guna fight margs and to me that is great!!! i actually think margs wins again
He'll get in. He's a three division world champion and as others have said, he's fought most of the best names at 140 and 147 of the last six years or so, and only lost twice, once to arguably the best fighter of this generation in Pacquiao and his other loss is to Margarito who was likely cheating when they fought. He's also been a generally entertaining fighter throughout his career.
He'll get in....not because he's a true great or anything, but because he was a standout from this era and has a very nice resume on paper. And it doesn't hurt that he's been in a lot of exciting brawls and didn't mind facing the best. If he beats a few more title holders/top contenders at 54 and 47, he'll have an even stronger case.
He's fought the best opposition available and only lost twice in his path to becoming a three division titlist. I think he has the credentials on paper, but a victory over Marg in a rematch will probably seal the deal. (Of course that's IF he wins the rematch...)
of course, his only losses came from a dude with bricks in his hands and to the best one on the planet
He was the only one with a chance to beat mayweather, the runner was scared of him. But cheater margarito took a lot from Cotto and against Pacquiao he was not the same figther. Cotto was especial and Margarito ruined him.
