Miguel Cotto Tired of Bob Arum Lying to the Public

Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by Slickstar, Oct 6, 2012.

  1. That's the official tendered purse for the state of Nevada. Low for tax reasons, OBVIOUSLY. If Pac was really only making 6 million per fight, he would have JUMPED at the 40 million flat fee offer from Floyd.

He could not take that fight without Arum's approval, so if Arum says no, Pac says no.

It's a damn good thing tax officials aren't smart enough to check internet forums then, since it's "common knowledge" on here that he really makes much more and is just reporting a low # to keep from paying them....:think:yep

In case you forgot, Bradley damaged/tore ligaments in both feet during their fight. Bradley has zero power..... Wounded, powerless opponent and yet no decisive blows/knockdowns/etc.

And, a reminder, Pac's strong-suit is his offensive prowess. Considering he displayed very little against a clearly overmatched Bradley, it seems that Pac's best days are behind him.

I can't say Pac did anything incredible on that night. At all.

So, all fighter's earn more than they report (for tax evasion reasons). Sounds like a pretty stupid idea tbh.

More likely alternative: Arum won't let the two fight. And I do believe Pac only earns the listed amount he receives via NSAC.

I doubt this ever happens. Arum has Pac by the balls. You'd figure Pac would have left along time ago.

-Signing two contracts, one with Top Rank, another with GBP, obviously GBP was a better deal.
-VisionQuest. Arum tells Pac to fire them. WTF?!
-Ripped off by Arum. Low guarantees.
    -The Bradley vs Pacquiao fiasco.

Pac seems terrified to leave Arum. :think

most offers are always written or submitted someway other than via word of mouth.... in this day and age of twitter, cotto could disapprove that and make Arum look like a jerk if he posted a copy of the offer that he "actually" got...problem solved, no he said she said....

    Low for tax reasons :nut

Pac dont have a say in who he fights. Arum has just been exposed for lying to Pac about the contracts being offered. Arum picks and chooses as he pleases, and Pac cant say **** about it. Arum is a laywer, and will know how to **** Pac over contractually, especially as when Pac signed he wasnt nearly as popular as he is now.

You don't have to fight him Miguel it's okay !

Your career can continue you don't have to keep releasing to the press different reasons why you won't fight Pacquiao.

You don't have to be on your knees again !!!

true statement about attorneys, everyone knows that from when they are old enough to know what one is.
but with that said, if boxers are gonna continue to be dumb ****s and always point to the evil promoter, because he lied...show some proof, if your promoter tells you something, consider it a lie. a promoter is a part of a boxers business. when discussing in December your selections of opponents for may with dollar amounts and details for each as you explore your best options, its a good idea to get these in writing when he is telling you what each is gonna pay and potentially pay. its all he said she said which gets boring and never ending
