Sadly when ever these type of match ups are thought about the intangibles always favor the already proven fighter and never the other completely developing unproven fighter (cotto). The majority here seem to play this match up without the consideration that there is a great possibility of Cotto's punches hurting Quartey, or at least damaging him physically like his face etc... Things like this will always always sway the fight to the older figher Quartey. The match up is completely too early but I simply favor Miguel Cotto's quicker feet and balance and his offensive arsenal/versatility to outwork Quartey inside. Cotto isn't so stupid of a fighter to get peppered by the same thing throughout a 12 round fight. Cotto has adapted to different styles amazingly throughout his career, it is testiment to how great of a thinker Cotto is in there. For someone to come in here and just shrug this match up off as an easy win for Quartey is a complete and utter idiot.

I agree with most of this, allthough I pick Quartey it would certainly not be a blow-out like some feel. In fact, in a few years time when we learn more about Cotto people may change there minds completely. Of course these sort of matchups favour the more proven fighter, we know all about Ike's intangibles yet for all we know Cotto may improved another 30%. I personally don't like comparing current fighters to proven greats, although I do if people ask.

    lol, alright i'll try bro.....
Quartay always' seemed to gas out towards the end.
Cotto has yet to show fatigue, granted Ike would be the bigger man.
I imagine Miguel pounding the body out thru the first round's.
maybe losing some close one's...but still landing.

Come the 8th, Ike is looking rather tired. [fatigue]
due to Cotto's body pressure & movement.
Cotto will defo not exchange with Ike, so he get's on defense.
and copies a page out of Wilfred Benitez Vs. Palominio and glides....
    UD.
