Well, my mind tells me that Clottey is just too willing to let the other guy lead. And that is probably the decisive factor in this fight. Zab was getting to Clottey and I feel Cotto does have that speed to reach him. Also giving Cotto room is probably not the best thing to do. It allows him to set his feet, to think and to breathe easier. A guy who is that methodical is eventually going to find you if you run. He likes puzzles. He doesn't like being forced. Clottey does have the speed and the defense to give Cotto trouble though. The only problem is that Clottey is just nowhere near active enough to grab rounds from Cotto as Cotto is on the offensive. Offense is what Cotto specializes in, and Clottey would be inviting that in.
I remember back lastg year I told everyone clottey would KO cotto and I got alot of **** from these so called 'experts'. Funny how people's minds changed after the fact you ****ing bums. Yeah you know who you are.
Hmmm.clottey Over Cotto In A Tight Tight Decision Win 115-114...but Cotto Better Not Take This As His Comeback Fight
He has good offense too. He picks his shots pretty good and he's a good counter puncher. I think he beats Cotto in a very tough fight.
Cotto bet not make this his comeback fight. I think Cotto would win by SD but could also go the other way around to Clottey.
I just don't see how his offense is enough to beat Cotto. The fact that he picks his shots and needs some time to see where hes going to throw is disastrous against Cotto. Clottey can't set the rythm of a fight against Miguel Cotto, Cotto will make Clottey fight to his tune.
Clottey doesn't have a good defense, just a massive head that he has to hold up his high guard. Cotto can work the body easy and slow Clottey down to a low punch output unlike Margarito.
