good stuff SS my computer only lets me see the first 2 mins before crashing so ill try and watch it tommorow i see the Benitez comparison but i think hes more like Locche in the way he makes them miss for a while then counters. Benitez makes them miss and counter straight away wheres Lora looks for a better shot to counter with.
I definiely don't see him as anything like Locche aside from the very first bit of the clip when he was very obviously just toying with the older Davila. He even punches like Benitez.
Its just the way he uses his defence i think is like Locche. Benitez would slip then immediatly counter whereas Locche and Lora would slip then slip afew more and wait for a better counter. Like i said i could only see the first 2 mins
Umm....I'd say he's an amalgam. There's a bit of Locche, but indeed Benitez too. He used some cool angles like Pep there also. I just think he was a rubbery guy from Colombia who just boxed like that :rofl But very, very good video SS, I wanna watch the Vasquez and Zaragoza fights now, beating them at those times is very impressive indeed.
Nice compilation. The first time I became aware of Lora was sometime in the late 80's, when he made it onto the cover of The Ring Magazine. The US media seemed pretty 'happy' about him for a while, but he kind of dropped off the radar.
very cool, just saw yours (or Peas? sorry for any offence caused either way) Zapata highlight and bumped it......unfortunately it will get lost in the General, but I made some points on there about Calderon NOW. Maybe we could get it moved onto the Classic????
It's a pity he couldn't keep his prime a bit longer. Would have been great to see him take on a young Orlando Canizales. He would have stretched Happy to his defensive limits and we could have seen some special moves....
Yeah I wish the Bassa fights didn't come out so patchy... bloody youtube.... Zapata was another special defensive fighter. I think I might have made a thread here in classic when I first made the Zapata clip, not sure though...
