Excusing your Brook-Pacquiao analogy which is out of the context of my point, I do think Jones-Berto is actually a descent fight. The point is, Jones was twice offered a fight against Andre and turned it down twice. Now all of a sudden, Berto is getting criticized for apparently ducking him.
Jones has poor footwork but props to him, he showed a lot of heart to come through both his fights with Soto. Dont know how much to take from the win over Soto, I mean you can look at it positively, or negatively. On the one hand Soto probably exposed weaknesses(both fights) to some, but by the same token, who is constantly going to walk through the fire Soto was prepared to ?Maidana made Khan look terrible because of how much pressure he put on, but who else is going to do that to him?
I feel ya, I definitely think Berto shouldn't get any slack for that. If anything he can be accused of cherry picking by some, but I think Mike is a threat, but u know how boxing fans are :-(
