Cant wait for this fight. Im rooting for Artur but I like Mollo. Hes a warrior. I hope Artur is able to win impressively....
am rewatching the first fight right now. I have said it before and Ill say it again, Artur can develop into a good fighter if he just improves and increases the work with his right hand. No joke, he can win the Mollo fight with his right hand alone almost. He has a very effective jab that he turns over for the right hook when he wants to, he can dictate the rounds with that jab and can counter rushes with his right hook. He just gets a little too aggressive for not having really the strength or power to do so, and gets drawn into battles. I hope to see him work off that jab.... make that the story of the fight for the first 2 or 3 rounds, almost be wlad status in there (im not comparing their jabs, but im just saying how wlad will start off fights using almost nothing but his jab) but also countering with those right crosses and then start setting up his left hand down the pipe. Also he has a tendency to get lazy in there, he needs to learn to stay sharp at all times once the bell rings. Hes got a good base to work with and I can tell hes got talent to work with but he needs to fight off of his jab more and not get drawn into shootouts. But, that all being said, Artur is going to be in danger this entire fight. A Mollo win here, and I hate to say it but even a somewhat domination (I know that sounds weird given their first fight) wouldn't surprise me one bit. Mollo is in superb condition, and Artur is very uncomfortable under bull rush type attacks and that's one thing Mollo is good at. Give Mollo the power to hurt Artur (which he has), and with Artur's leaky defense, it will always be a highly dangerous fight for him until he improves. Do not forget, Mollo fought almost the entire first fight behind a mask of blood, which were caused by a headbutt and an elbow. Not to mention a real shitty ref that was quite obviously (at least imo) in Arturs corner. A better Mollo (which he should be in this one) that doesn't have that adversity, and this spells another good, but dangerous fight. Damnit I cant wait for this one idk... just imo
Mollo cracks me up every time I see him. Its the little engine that could in the sense that he is all heart and some pop but little else in terms of skill. Szpilka has all that plus some developing skill, but pretty lousy decision making in the ring so far. IMO he needs to see that Mollo does everything the same, with many of his punches being telegraphed. Szpilka needs to be more economical and try to time Mollo while he's trying to come in, often with looping shoots. I know its not easy for Szpilka to do this, because he's basically a stalker and wants to put the pressure on and initiate, but I think he should allow Mollo to do that and pick him off. Mollo was most effective when fighting on the inside while Szpilka in the half distance. His jabbing was also pretty effective. Best part of the first fight was when Atlas was pontificating on how Szpilka doesn't have heart and in that almost exact moment, whamo, he takes off Mollo's head.
Mollo is in tremendous shape. I am backing the Chi city Italian warrior but if the heavy handed Szpilka pulls it off -- props to him.

Best shape in his whole career IMO.... says its the lowest he's weighed in his HW career so far. Hopefully he is sharp and quick.
