I understand that Tillis is considered a 'poor mans' Ali. I'm just giving my opinion on how I think Ali would be able to trouble Tyson.

Muhammad Ali and his use of Lateral Movement ('Dancing'). It would frustrate Tyson being unable to explode into combinations. The simple technique of 'moving backwards' eg.

    Tyson overcompensates by launching himself.

Tillis backward movement causes Tyson to overreach to get contact, due to overcompensating it leaves him open for counter. He has to reset again.

Lennox Lewis - "One of Tyson's weaknesses as Douglas showed was the Uppercut."

Tillis just outside of Tyson's Jab, he is able to land a clean uppercut and get out of Tyson's range safely by using Lateral Movement.

Same again but with the Left Hook.

Ali is a known Head-Hunter, here Tillis is able to get 3 shots off before Tyson forces the clinch.

I understand Tillis was UD by Tyson. But in some parts he frustrated and confused Tyson just by the use of Lateral Movement, Left-hooks, & Uppercuts. Ali would be able to perform this much faster and for a longer period of time. Once again Lateral Movement is the key who is known for hitting and not getting hit? Ali. Ali in his prime was a master of hitting on the back-foot. He's also got a great chin. :D

No, Ali made Liston quit in the first fight and Joe Walcott screwed up in the second fight. So I'll ask you again, how do you know this isn't Tyson's real opinion?

It depends on Mike's mindset. When Mike Tyson fought Holmes, he displayed no respect towards a HW icon, a peer of Muhammad Ali. I remember when Larry said something like "Mike, you will be a great champion." and Tyson replied "**** you".

If prime Mike('87-'88) went into a fight with prime Ali with THAT mindset, it would be a magnificent fight with Ali winning a close MD or SD. Tyson was Frazier with speed, technique and two fisted power.

So obviously that IS his real opinion, you moron. I'm 100% positive he knows he wouldn't have had the mental wiring to overcome Ali late and couldn't take I'm out early. But what would Tyson know about himself that you wouldn't know better, right? :good

Just on the point of Ali's Lateral Movement & Footwork. Re-watching Ali-Patterson I. For a guy with a 6'3 frame it's amazing how fluid and quick he is on his feet. e.g

Ali Evading a jab with footwork.

Patterson lunges forward with a left hook but is still unable to make contact will Ali. Note: This is split second reflexes.

Slipping punches with upper body movement & footwork.

I know I'm getting ahead of myself here but Ali had some Ridiculous Slickness.:smoke

Ali is the greatest heavy ever period. Mikes style would make his legs shake. nobody knows though how it would go down.

Patterson had even faster hand speed than tyson, and ali took him apart twice without breaking a sweat. That peak-a-boo style was a joke to ali, he even made fun of it.

Ali truly is the best HW boxer ever, it's not even close.

Exactly Ali would have taken Tyson to later rounds and finished him off Tyson liked to finish his fights off early and no way he does that with Ali,for God sake if Monsters like a Prime Foreman and Liston could not do it to Ali Tyson had no hope.!!!!Mike is being honest simple as that.!!!!
