I think a primed Tyson would attack Vitali mercilously and Tysons chin was a lot sturdier back then...the barrage of punches it took Douglas to finally put him out was remarkable,he took a ton of heavy shots b4 he finally succumed....and He also took razor Ruddocks best shots so i think Vitalis chances of getting hurt by him are a lot greater them tysons of getting hurt by Vitali.
I daisagree Holy was already own the down slide and still gave lewis all he could handle and then some...grant it Lewis got robbed in the 1st fight but the 2nd fight from what i remember was a lot closer
Some feel that the 37 yr old Holifeild WON the 2nd fight with Lewis, I tell you 1 thing he certinly landed the harder blows in the rematch. On to your question, Tyson has proven himself elite, Vitali hasn't. Vitali had an out of shape 38 yr old lewis in front of him and still managed to lose, Tyson was in the same situation against Holmes but he came out on top, years later in his 40s Holmes would later go on to beat beat a prime Mercer and give than HW champ Holyfield a tough fight. Tyson has beaten up Berbick, Spinks, Bruno-X2, Ruddick-X2, Golata, Holmes, Tucker etc Thsoe guys I named Were either former champs or Contenders who except for Holmes were at their peak. Vitali only fought 2 guys of this Caliber and he was stopped both times. Once by an out of shape Lewis who was old and again by light punching Byrd after he ran out of gas. ( The Torn rotator Cuff is BS)
The shot out of shape 38 yr old Lewis stopped him, Byrd stopped him, and the 38 yr old golfer Sanders had him hurt early before he ran out of gas, Vitali really isn't all that special.
I think it would be a close fight probably going the distance. Vitali's long reach and jab would derail most of Tyson's attacks. I think Tyson would eventually catch him but never stop Vitali. I see a close UD going either way or a split decision. BTW, 'TheGreat' you should try to be objective for a minute and stop hatin'.
I'm being honest here, what has Vitali done to even have his name mentioned with Tyson? If anything Wlad as long as he keeps his head has shown himself to be the better of the brothers.
How they stopped him was a bit different than being knocked out by Douglas, Holyfield, Lewis, Williams and the loss to McBride. Agree? Lewis was in the Ring TOP10 P4P when he fought Vitali so I don't think he was that shot .
prime tyson would win by KO over anyone, he just underestimated buster douglas and he still put douglas on his ass
Tyson was shot when he fought Lewis, and was only collecting a pay-check when he fought Williams and McBride. vitali was dead tired when Byrd made him quit, had he continued he would've been stopped by feather-fisted Byrd, as for Lewis he showed up at a career high i weight for the fight, was well past it but still to much for Vitali.
I think Vitali's style look like Rudduck back in the days and Mike won 2 tough fights against Rudduck, both took some real hard bombs... Peoples who think Tyson never won a fight when his opponent is not afraid are WRONG..
:rofl Watch their fights with Byrd, BTW you still haven't answered my question; what has Vitali done to have his name mentioned with the big 3 of the last 20 yrs?
Have you seen the Byrd fight? Taking 1 round of 9 is something to brag about? It's Big 2. Tyson lost all of his big fights and he lost to fighters like Williams, Douglas, McBride as well.
