Mike Tyson vs Anthony Joshua

That 41 year old happens to be one of the hardest hitting HW's of all time.

Tyson never met anyone like Joshua during his reign who was so big, fast, hard hitting and super aggressive.

How's it a myth? He was certainly an on top fighter, he fell apart once he was in serious trouble.

He wouldn't "walk through" Tyson's best punches. Wlad had AJ in trouble at one point in the fight. But Wlad couldn't finish him. Tyson wouldn't have that problem.

 

Holyfield hit harder than Wlad ?

 

A washed up, alcoholic Tyson took Lewis best shots for 8 rounds. And this wasn't the elusive Tyson who bobbed, weaved and made his opponents miss. This was a Tyson who had the defense and elusiveness of the statue of Joe Louis in downtown Detroit. A young Mike Tyson would be extremely elusive and would have the chin to take it on the occasion that he does get hit.

I'm not convinced that AJ posseses more raw power than Bruno, Lewis, Bonecrusher Smith or Ruddock. He's more effective (Lewis is the exception) with his power overall. But if you scientifically measured their power in a lab, I doubt that AJ would be leaps and bounds ahead and I suspect that Tyson's power would fit right in with that group. Where he'd fall I can't say, but I would expect him to be in there.
