Actually yes, the shot to bits Tyson who lost to Danny Williams would beat Haye.

Im guessing you never seen that fight nor do you know much about Williams. Well ,Williams was very durable and he was close to losing by stoppage in the first round. Tyson gave him a pasting early and its only the fact Tyson blew his gasket and beyond shot that Danny won.
Any one of those bombs Danny took would have sent glass chinned Haye into la la land. Id favour Williams to beat Haye also.

Prime 80's Tyson vs Haye isn't even a serious discussion to anybody who knows the sport of boxing.

Tyson wouldnt have seen anyone with the speed and explosiveness of Haye either, thats what makes it so intriguing
You dont know that at all and why would you even come out with such rubbish? He had a game plan against Valuev and it paid off. Against Wlad he had a terribly swollen toe which restricted him.
Even if I did go with your rubbish, Tyson is not anywhere near as big as those guys
    I would say calculated
We assume, but dont you think Haye would have planned for that? I do. B Smith was similar in size to Haye but not as explosive and Tyson had a long night there
Yet a former LHW who was smaller and less powerful than Haye beat Tyson or did you forget that?
Haye I think would time Tyson coming in though as said I think it could come down to who lands first but think that would be Haye

The Williams who was beaten by Sprott, fat Simal Sam and Julius Long is this durable top level operator? All those three names would have been brutally stopped by Haye son.

Williams was never that good. I followed his entire career, and watched pretty much all of those fights pre Tyson. I watched Williams get Knocked out by a fat Turkish bouncer in Simal Sam, and there is no way you would be saying he was durable if you saw that fight. This was in William's "real prime", he was in fact slightly over the hill himself by the time he faced a shot Tyson, who was over rated to begin with. He ate Tysons shots, because if truth be told Tyson was so far gone by then, he no longer had the speed of punch to take opponents out. Must have been the weed.

I really didnt think you were going to be that stupid, but you beat my expectations.

Only 2 years after the Tyson win, Williams was stopped in 3 by Fraudly Harrison.

The comment made was that "ANY version of TYSON would beat Haye"

Clearly the version that lost to Williams would not have beaten Haye. Dont fool yourself.

Haye would have smashed that version of Williams and Fat Turkish Bouncer on the same night. In fact no one who beat Williams other than Vitali would have beaten Haye.

And that's being extremely generous. This has the ingredients of a shorter version of the Spinks fight.

The man would make it to R3 at most if he was in shape AND lucky

If he wasn't in shape, he'd go down hard like the Spinks fight.

Or the Larry Holmes fight, take your pick

Williams lost to Sinan , beat Sprott , lost to Sprott , beat Tyson and lost to Vitali all within a 12 month period. He fought 8 HWs in that time alone - the same amount of fights Haye has had in his entire career as a Heavyweight and it took him EIGHT years to get there.

If Haye was fighting real heavies that frequently for over 20 years , then he would have been on his back finishing a fight more times then he'd be on his feet celebrating a victory.

His career as a HW was farcical. His best win was a competitive 5 round stoppage over Chisora who wasn't 10% of the fighter prime Tyson was.
Haye doesn't endure a minute of competitive combat with Tyson , never mind 5 rounds like he did against Chisora.

Haye has never even beaten a top 10 HW. How would he beat one of the most ferocious punchers.

    Absolutely! and KiwiMan like this.
