Probably a Tyson wide UD, but there's a decent shot of a stoppage.

Young was good at spoiling, but Tysons's speed of hand and foot makes it another game entirely.

Young' spoiler tactics might frustrate Tyson for a couple of rounds nut i think Tyson speed and power plus his relentless pressure would carry him to a points victory or maybe a late stoppage.

    :think Good thread.

In Young's time, Tyson traveling in the time machine:

Round one: Howard Cossell says he's sickened they let it go on this long.

Round two: Paramedics say Tyson will be okay, but the speed with which his head turned as his eyes followed Young running out of the ring may have caused mild whiplash.

Tyson DQ2 Jimmy Young, result changed to a KO2 later, to preserve the KO streak.

In Tyson's time, prime young taking the trip in the TM:

Round one: Larry Merchant says Young is a good case for abortion, and they cut his microphone. He's pretty sauced, knowing he'll have to watch Jimmy Young that night.

Round two: Tyson bites Jimmy Young's nose clean off, and he's disqualified. Before the announcer addresses the crowd, it's reversed to a Tyson KO2, as Young could not continue, and you have to preserve the KO streak.

    Tyson via clear,but not easy,decision.

Tyson would chase the defensive minded Young down over the course. Jimmy would no doubt have his mpments, though. I can't see Tyson doing it by stoppage. As devastating as Mike appeared circa 1986-88,James Tillis,Mitch Green,James Smith and Tony Tucker took him the distance.
Jimmy was easily as durable as they were.

I'm gonna go with the obvious answer and say Young by KO.

A more interesting variation would have been a prime Jimmy Young v the best POST prime version of Tyson, which would have been in 1991. Very much a 50/50 one. I'd actually lean slightly towards Young in that scenario.

Tyson would bite the judges scorecards out of their hands.

I do not ... Smith and Tucker were huge, powerful monsters than clinched and hung on for their lives ... I see a stoppage like Ike/Byrd ...
