Tyson is about as far removed from bing similar to the Godoy of the first Louis fight as you can get.

He might have some similarities to Marciano, but we might as well be drawing analogies based on Tysons fight with Danny Williams.

There are more differences between Marciano and Tyson than similarities. I can´t see that comparison.

Interesting one :good I say Louis, but it would be very much on a knife edge. Joe would be at serious risk at times, for if Tyson caught him with a good combo,it would be goodnight Louis ! I would take Louis to be very cautious for a while, but once he'd timed Mike with his jab,he'd set the frustrated Iron Mike up for a ko around the tenth.

Louis said he would always have problems and Marciano and I don't remember his knee popping out against Rocky. Tyson is similar to Godoy in both would fight small coming in with head movement, both good at slipping the jab and come up while at mid-range, both present angles that would trouble Louis. I bet you'll go on about Louis being great on the inside now despite him being mugged silly by Godoy

    1 more needle than you.

And McG, I haven't seen it in a while, didn't actually score it at the time, but thought Godoy got the better of it

OK, fair enough, but you shouldn't bark "roberry" in that case.

The fight was close, close. I had it to Louis by a hair's breadth. If someone wanted to argue for Godoy, I would be content to see that happen, but there was no question of it being a robbery. I tend to think the right man got the nod in a close one.

Fortunately, Louis put any controversy to bed in II. That's my opinion.
