Does he still look in good shape even at his age now? It's those eyes of his that does it for me, you really would be an idiot to upset him. I have both their books, great reads but Shaw seems to come across as the better guy I think personality wise. By the way, not even a contest in Queensbury rules, Tyson would demolish them both within the first minute.
He looked like a shambling old man to be honest. But i guess he wasnt in that bad shape:yep He seemed fairly disinterested and was surrounded by minders or whatever they were. His eyes still look like those of a maniac..
bit of an unfair comparison, seeing as mclean's boxing training probably consisted of farting about in a gym when he was 10, and then knocking people out as a bouncer. size and aggression wise they are on level pegging.
Man tyson would go in for a bite of the ear,as lenny nuts him.Tyson would destroy him to be truthful,he would maybe put him in a wheelchair and im not joking here.Mcleans book is a good laugh, but thats about it,he has lost a lot of fights by all accounts, the way he told it he lost once to shaw, some other guys beat him. Also the bit that makes me laugh in the book is when he says he went out side to fight 60 or so young teen thugs, get the **** out of here lenny,no ones thats ****ing stupid, you would be swamped in minutes, and probaly killed
Any world class midleweight would destroy McClean. Most of the guys with hard man biographies are jokers.
Its a no brainer this as im sure you well know, tell your mates who clearly no nothing about the sport to give there heads a right good shake. TYSON KO 1 minute max.
In a boxing match............Tyson in under 30seconds. In a bare knuckle fight.............Tyson in under a minute In a street fight...........Tyson via death
I remember reading in Roy Shaw's biography that Lenny claimed to of had something like 30,000 fights. Which worked out at something mad like 8 fights a day . Atleast Shaw seemed more level headed. He admitted his best win over Ron Stander was cos Stander was ill and that he would of lost easily if that hadn't been the case. He knew he wasn't in there class and admits it, the majority of these 'hard men' would have you believe that they would of beaten Ali, only they couldn't be bothered.
