most guys, even with great chins, get wobbled though. for example, you saw how badly holyfield was wobbled by cooper.

    Mike has a great chin.
I recently watched the Lewis/Tyson documentary, and even Lewis said he couldnt believe Tyson was still standing, after some of the shots he had hit him with.

Tyson Had a ATG chin, if u don't think that u don't know boxing.Even when he was well shot it took loads of punches to drop him and in his last loses he decided to lay down cause he didn't want it

I agree, Mercer was dropped by Holyfield and he had a great chin. I think Mikes chin was very good, just not the best Ive ever seen. That would go to Mcall.

I would call it Iron. You don't take that much punishment in the Douglas fight to say its not iron.
same for his heart. his heart was very much in check.

Spot on. I couldn't see Tyson staying upright under the onslaught that crushed Frazier in Kingston. I definitely wouldn't see Tyson getting up as many times as Frazier - and I've always considered Frazier regressed after FOTC.

Don't think Mercer's chin is better than Chuvalo's.

Chuvalo doesn't always move forward, but he'll plant himself.

I've heard many make the claim Holyfield dropped Mercer with a body shot. It's been awhile since I've actually seen that fight or at least repeatedly checked to see the legitimacy of that knock down.

This argument seems rather pointless as we're basically agreeing but making trivial distinctions.

I don't think you can watch the Ruddock fights and say that Tyson had a weak chin. It is pretty obvious that he had a solid chin.

Agreed McCalls chin has to be the strongest in history. Mercers was concrete too.

One more point on Tysons chin and heart, just go watch the beating he took of Lewis. I think that answers everything. Mike went out on his shield that night.

A puncher like Douglas or Holyfield will put prety much anybody away if they can lay enough leather on their chin.

The human body can only take so much.
