Mike Tysons resume was rubbish in a weak era.

Goes to show how good Holmes was. I've always said an active Holmes, with a proper training camp, would have beaten Tyson. Of course, Holmes is one of my favorites, not because of him and his fights, just because I remember my pops taking me to the store for snacks, he would get his bottle of Johnny Walker and after watching that fool fly off the ski jump and the famous quote of the thrill of victory and the agony of defeat, pops and I would watch Holmes fight. Best memories!

Lol, the fact you don't think it's a good win just proves my point, underrated by some for sure.

98% of your post is quoted straight from a recent YouTube vid, by longtime boxing Youtuber Hatman. 'Mike Tyson destroys AJ in one round'.

Watching fights and studying fighters, maybe even full careers (if it tickles your fancy), THEN being able to form your own opinions, is a far better way to enjoy the sport.

If Tyson's era was rubbish than what does that say about the late 90's, early 2000's, and now which are even weaker.

Also, post 1995 Tyson while still being a good fighter lacked the speed and reflexes he had back in 1991 and was clearly past his prime. By 1999 Tyson was coming off a long suspension and his skills deteriorated even more to the point that he was completely shot. Tyson by the time he fought Botha had no speed, timing, or head movement and looked so awful that even the announcers admitted that Mike was shot.

Tyson looking really slow and stiff against Buster Mathis Jr. in 1995.

Tyson 4 years before has much better timing and speed.

Also, Lennox mostly beat Tyson's leftovers. Lewis beat Ruddock after Ruddock went through two wars with a prime Tyson.

Lewis also beat Tyrell Biggs, who was coming off a knockout loss to Bowe and was shot by the time Lewis fought him. Tyson destroyed an undefeated and inshape Tyrell Biggs several years earlier.

Lewis went 12 rounds with a shot and overweight Tony Tucker, who at that point struggled couldn't even cleanly beat Orlin Norris. Tyson beat a prime and undefeated Tony Tucker, who was a champion.

The 80s were rubbish. That's why a 20 year old kid went through it so easily.

Every era is weak when you're so far above the competition.

The thread starter is either HatmanStrikesBack or literally watches his videos and copies him word for word. It's either one of the two. I've been looking through all your recent comments and they are the EXACT same as what Hatman has been saying. That can't be coincidence.

    Is that u hatman?

how insecure do you have to be to feel threatened by someones ability because it makes your time in the world, or era, seem less admirable? is there no men raising children anymore?

Tyson didn't just win, it was the way he won. He did things to people that had never happened to them before and in some cases never happened later.

What on earth, has Wladimir got to do with Tyson's questionable resume?

For goodness sake man, tell the nurse to double up on your meds.
