I’m okay with favoring Patterson. But unlike some others I’m not sure I can see it as being “ easy “

The charge that he had a "glass jaw" dogged Patterson his whole career. I think it's overstated. Only two opponents actually put him on ***** street. Most of the knockdowns to others were of the flash variety or when he was off-balance in fights he would go on to dominate.

Yeah, Holmes didn't have an easy time with Weaver. I can see Patterson prevailing, but it would be stiff opposition. The closest thing to Weaver in Patterson's time was Cleveland Williams. Had Patterson fought Williams, that could have told us all we need to know about how a Patterson vs Weaver fight goes.

Bad matchup; they arent that far apart in overall ability imo (mostly because of the doping era that Weaver was a part of, he had those advantages), but Patterson could start VERY fast if he so desired, and hit pretty hard. I think he takes Weaver out in the early rounds more often that not, pretty brutally.

I saw the headline, and I thought don't be silly, even Mike Weaver could beat Patterson. Weaver wins this one in the second half of the fight.

Floyd was also a hitter, faster, more defensively sound; I can't really envision a scenario that Weaver wins, unless he clips Floyd

Or when he wanted to take a breather.

Floyd, but he's got to be careful, one mistake and it could go badly really fast.
