I'd favour every one of the WBA champions of the 1980s against C00ney. On their best day, definitely. I'd also favour Thomas who held the WBC, and Tony Tucker who held the IBF. Obviously Tyson too, who unified the three titles. I'd make C00ney 50-50 with Berbick.
Pretty much agree. ****ey vs guys in the top 10 and I really don't see him as any better than 50-50. And the guy he matches up best with is the slow starter easy to hit Weaver. Leon spinks would have been a big name but who was really buying into him in the early 80's. as such, that's the guy the ****ey management would have put him in with & we likely see a 2 minute destruction. But guys like a Snipes or a Pinky Thomas are very dangerous fights. Witherspoon & Bruno. All those guys, not just Page and Dokes. Hell, I like an 84 version of Bonecrusher Smith. Or Tubbs to beat him. If somehow ****ey had won the title back then against Weaver, can you imagine the stiffs they would have lined up for Gerry? An out of retirement Zanon? A washed up Mercado? A come out of retirement Knoetze? Or moving up in weight EM Muhammad? We'd have had 3 years of 5 fights against no hopers---and he still might get upset.
