true I’ll give you that but,
    he did have:
a Hell of a Dance partner
& the fight was in Dallas, Texas.
They needed each other to secure that Bag.

He was very overpaid by dazn so that probably was a factor. I still think he should have went for one last good payday. Someone like jervante Davis or prograis would be perfect

Weirdly enough, he looked in shape on Saturday whereas he usually looks like **** when he has no fight upcoming.

A shame really. One of my favourite current fighters, but he shouldn't have strayed over 140 and should have fought Loma instead. Lot's of good fights at 135-140 that he missed. The last three years or so have been a waste for him.

Lol, not it wasnt. Mikey has never been a draw, his gates have always been low and hes never fought on PPV other than that, Spence is a PPV fighter who gets huge gates, either the 1st or 2nd biggest draw in American boxing. Mikey is probably not even Top 10

One of the most cherry picking champion in boxing history, him and broner, the most fraudulent 4 division champions.

4 Division Champion, 2 title defenses combined.

Another career stymied by too many belts, too many classes, and overpay. If boxing had a sensible structure and Garcia's career choices would have been limited to fighting for one title at 135 or 147 after he moved up from 126, he would have had bigger fights and a greater legacy because he would have stayed at lightweight for much longer. Instead, like so many other fighters today, he was allowed to cherry-pick his way through divisions, inflate his credentials, and demand money he didn't deserve along the way. I don't hate Garcia, mind you. He was a superb talent. But the sport has become a conveyor belt of what-ifs because of its own misgivings.

Such a shame given how talented Mikey was. He reminded me of Juan Manuel Marquez with his textbook boxer puncher style. He really could have been so much more. His destruction of Juanma Lopez was surgical like.
