This seems like a possible matchup for Steieglitz's next defense. I have not see him fight, but both Berrios and Andrade KO'd him. I would think this would be a great matchup for Miranda to win a belt, even in Germany. Thoughts?

Stieglitz is a guy that does a lot of things well but nothing great. (Kinda like Lucas was)

He's a tough guy with a decent chin. He is busy and has a good technique.

Stieglitz has indeed lost to Berrio and Andrade but he also has arguably beat better opposition then Miranda has.

On the other hand. Stieglitz's style might play right into Miranda's hand.

A Stieglitz-Miranda fight seems like a good choice for the German market tho. People over there know who Miranda is. I'm guessing that fight would sell well over there.

Perhaps the winner gets to unify against Bute.

Do you have any idea when that fight could happen?

I heard Stieglitz has an early January date to fill and agree with you the Miranda would be a good sell for Europe TV.

It won't sell in Germany. Because it is free :p. But I agree a lot of people would tune in an that would result in big profits.

Miranda hasn't fought at MW since he lost to Pavlik 2 1/2 years ago, it's been told he couldn't make MW anymore, so how is he now supposed to fight for the MW belt? He fights at SMW since and barely made the SMW weight for his two last fights (167 1/2 lbs) and before that he weighed even 174 and 176 lbs so it looks like he's struggling to make even SMW weight now...

I'd say it's more probable Miranda goes to LHW soon then to go back to MW again... Back then when he lost to Pavlik, the excuse was he was weight drained etc. etc., when he got sparked against Abraham it was at 166 lbs catch weight, when he lost against Ward it was at normal 168 lbs SMW weight...

If Miranda ever fights at MW again, I'll eat the broomstick, and not any but the Harry Potter's Nimbus 2000 :rofl

Uuuups, you're right of course, I mistook Stieglitz (SMW) for Sylvester (MW) and my comment was therefore about Miranda fighting at MW again... Mea Culpa...

Well if Miranda can get this fight, I think it WILL sell good (of course it's on free TV then, but they'll still get a lot of money out of it because of the TV quotes...) but when Miranda loses again, what will be his excuse this time? Weight drained? Move to LHW after? :rofl

I mentioned this possibility after Miranda´s last win. Stieglitz beat better man than Miranda until now, he´s a much better technician, better defensivly, has a decent chin and decent punch. Well, actually everything about him is decent but nothing more. Hw was KOed by Berrio and had to succumb to Andrade´s workrate. Miranda imo has not the same punch as Berrio and not the same workrate as Andrade. I´d pick Stieglitz 8-4 rounds or something like that. Miranda could catch him and put him out but I wouldn´t bet on it.
the fight would do solid in Germany. Stieglitz isn´t that known and Miranda is disliked due to his trashtalking before the Abraham fights and the whining and bullshittalking of his management after the first one. So, if the people watch it then to see Miranda getting knocked out which I doubt will happen.

It's also pretty much the only chance Miranda has at becoming a World Champion at 168lbs.

stieglitz has seemed pretty tough as of late. he took a straight up ass whooping from andrade before being put out on accumulation. he also survived a give and take battle against a pretty good boxer in balzsay. this is really a pick 'em fight because miranda has that one punch ko power much like berrio did when he put out stieglitz.

Miranda vs Stieglitz could go either way.Miranda can punch, and Stieglitz has been decked quite a lot of times in his career.
Both Miranda and Stieglitz have a very leaky defence.Miranda has the upper hand in firepower whereas Stieglitz has the far better stamina.
Tough call to pick a winner!
Stieglitz was stopped by Andrade, had a bloody close fight with Wilaschek(who almost took him out in round 8?) and was behind on the scorecards against Balzsay when the Hungarian ran out of gas.Stieglitz took a lot of good shots in Hungary.
I am not really sure, but I tend to favour Miranda in this one.
