Floyd buckled Oscar and even caught Mosley's attention with his accurate punches so D Mac has a point.

    Jamie McDonnell

No stoppages in his first 6, just 2 in his first 11 and a 37% overall stoppage percentage. He can punch a bit (at least at Euro level).

In fairness to Corrales though I would say he was levels above the other two.

And without the benefit of revisionist history, that Corrales fight at SFW was seen as a 50-50 going in. Floyd has to ge some credit for sticking Diego on his ass five times and basically walking the contest.

And the right-hand-down-the-pipe repeat that he done on Ndou was, for wont of a better word, beautiful.

I see similarities in Clev and Arron both turned pro very young, Clev turned pro at 154 both have enormous frames that they are growing into and both i suspect have a decent dig that as they fill out a bit is becoming more apparent.

Plenty of room for improvement from but the raw talent and attributes are obviously there

If he was a bigger puncher though, with the type of shots he was landing Diego wouldn't of been able to get up every time. I think Mayweather is a respectable puncher that has great speed, timing and accuracy. Nobody walks through him but if he had better power he would of crushed most of the guys he has faced because he lands so clean.

Mayweather was a bigger puncher at super-featerweight though. he could drop good fighters with single shots. But he was never knock hitter against elite opposition, adn the jump ups in weight seem to have effected his power also. He can still punch hard enough to hurt welterweights though.

Kendall Holt is probably the hardest puncher at 140lbs but Amir Khan has more KO's than him with less fights. Khan isn't a puncher he just goes for it more...........and fights in Britain.

I think if Floyd had put the pedal to the metal he could have scored many more stoppages.

He really ought to have gotten both Zab and Marquez out of there, and possibly Oscar and Shane too.

I think with Oscar and Shane he felt their power and decided to play it safer, the DLH fight was a really lacklustre showing from him IMO.

I've been banging the drum for Holts credentials as a puncher at 140 for some time. He can bang. If he can still make 140, a fight with Maidana would be a lot of fun, or Zab (he seems to be angling for one last big payday).

Kendall Holt's left hook is scary. Always thought his KO % never really reflected his true power.

It's his speed and accuracy which bamboozles his opponents. His opposition at 140 was weak, and since then he hasn't seemed up for finishing.

Ndou took **** loads from him, and he was as sloppy as they come. Floyd was carrying him he was so predictable, and whilst the performance was impressive, it's not an indication that Floyd is anything more than his K.O numbers suggest.

It's not a bad number anyway, a fair number of stoppages, although he hasn't got rid of the bigger, durable guys, no shame in that.

I think Maidana is the best current example of power that is vastly overstated. This moniker people gave him of being the hardest hitter pound for pound was formulated on the basis off the Ortiz and Cayo fights, which I found baffling. Against Ortiz, time and time again he caught him with clean shots, they did damage, no doubt, he certainly has good power, but if someone with the power he was made out to have caught Ortiz that much, he would've been out of there much quicker. He wouldn't have had the chance to make the decision to stop fighting. Same thing goes for Cayo in a way, he caught him throughout the fight with plenty of clean shots to the head, but it was a near-perfect body-shot that finished it. Again, if he had the power he was made out to, he wouldn't have needed that shot.
