He can make quite a few guys miss, the only time he appeared to take too many was when he tried to brawl with Katsidis which was wrong, and against Johannson due to inexperience, as with Kats he should have held on, im sure he`s learned that lesson. Yeah Murray caught him flush about 3 times, many other punches were glancing shots he made murray miss bigtime. But hey if your gonna get in the ring your gonna get hit its the nature of the sport. How many times did rios get caught by Abril jab and right hand???? But as we both already know we see and appreciate things in this sport differently
its bloody crazy...people say Burns is over rated as well What has this guy actually done, shown us???
I see the point your making , but then again look at the Rios - Murray fight, Murray stood in front of Rios and let rios throw punches right up the middle it took till the 11th rd to get the stoppage, if Rios power is what many say it is then surely he`d have had murray out much sooner.
Aye, but Mitchell isn't Murray. We don't know that Kevin holds a shot as well. He was certainly buzzed by Johanneson, on ***** street against Katsidis who while a decent puncher doesn't often do that to people at the top level, if at all. Which sort of points us towards thinking Kevin might not have an especially great chin against a puncher at the top level. I also think that while Murray stood with Rios he at least managed to smother some of his power. Rios is a lot more dangerous when somebody is backing off him, thats the worst possible thing you can do against bully fighters unless you're exceptional. Kevin is likely to do that. I scored it for Abril by near shut out.
Yeah i see your point, Mitchell made a big mistake by trying to brawl with a brawler in katsidis, he should have held, as for Johansson i see that as inexperience plus he was taking lots of punches from Johannson but still managed to stay up (though some say he touched down). If Mitchell has a weakness it is pulling away as you said,i wish he`d stay up close as he seems to be not too bad on the inside with his uppercuts but i guess thats just his style. Again with mitchell pulling away, an argument can be made for Rios lunging forward with his head down, Mitchell`s left could catch Rios flush. i give Mitchell a chance against rios as boxing isnt so black and white which is the beauty of it.
