Tua was a MYTH! Every goddamn thing about him was overrated, from his power to his chin. The idea he could beat prime Tyson is laughable. Mike's edge in two-fisted power, handspeed, skill, and defense is OVERWHELMING over Tua. Especially the handspeed. Tua's power isn't denting Tyson either. Ruddock was more powerful than Tua, and hit Mike with everything but the kitchen sink, and Tyson just smiled. Mike's chin is HIGHLY underrated. Tua would be getting hit with 3-4 power shots for every one he lands on Mike, and it would take it's toll on Tua.

Pre-prison Tyson would beat the Holy **** outta Tua, and stop him.

I'd also say that the Tyson of 96 beats his ass as well.

Tua could beat the washed up late 90's/early 00's Tyson, but that's about it.

Tua wins. It would turn into a shootout and the guy with the best chin would win, and that would be Tua. Tua BRAWLED with the very hard-punching Ike Ibeabuchi and was never shaken by Ike the entire fight. Not to discount Tyson of course, he was phenomenal in his prime.

Saying Tyson is more powerful than Tua is a joke.
Saying Tyson had a better chin than Tua is a joke.
Tyson is made for Tua. Lewis was too big and frustrating for Tua and he still went the 12 rds. Lewis hit harder and more accurate than Tyson.

I would have loved to have seen prime Tyson vs the killer that destroyed John Ruiz.

Exactly. What makes anyone think Tyson had a better chin than Tua? Mike was knocked out numerous times in his career. He couldn't even take Buster Douglas or Evander Holyfield's good sh*t, how is he gonna stand up to Tua's power? Conversely, how many times did you ever even see Tua on the deck?

Ike is an even bigger myth than Tua.

HUGE difference between being in a shootout with Ike, and being in a shoot out with one of the most devestating offensive forces the sport ever had.

No one ever won a brawl with Tyson. Especially not the pre-prison version.

Douglas pulled it off, but Buster had faaarrrr more skill than Tua, and an excellent jab.

Holy beat him by being extremely smart and negating Mike's attack on the inside by clincing him, and pushing him back.

Simply trading shots with Mike without pretense for any defense and without holding is a suicide mission.

But just going beyond styles, it's simply about quality. Tua was not in Tyson's class, and it would show. It would show brutally.

Tyson would have ****ed up Ike also.

Actually, to the contrary, saying Tua is more powerful than Tyson is the real joke.

Mike DESTROYED guys with proven chins, and destroyed them quickly. Berbick, Thomas, Holmes, all known for being extremely durable. All got obliterated. Holmes was never stopped BEFORE, or AFTER Tyson in his career. You think Tua would have stopped ****in Larry Holmes? Holmes would have EMBARRASSED Tua. Even the faded Holmes that Tyson beat would have embarrassed Tua.

Spinks? Never previously down in his career. Gone in 91 seconds.

What proven chinned guy did Tua's fat ass ever KO? I'll wait.

The guy took 12 rounds to take out David Izon, 11 rounds to take out Maskeav, and needed a cheap shot after the bell to stop Rachman. On his FEET no less.

Tua couldn't even take ****in Fres Oquendo off his feet, yet he's more powerful than Tyson and would KO Tyson? Tua has NO track record of BEATING any fighters in Tyson's league, much less stopping them.

Whereas Tyson TWICE beat a fighter who was better, and more powerful than Tua, Ruddock.

I'd REALLY like to hear an explanation for how Tua was more powerful than Tyson? Good luck.

Once Tua tastes Tyson`s speed and power he would try to survive. Sadly he didnt have the size or tools to smother Tyson.

It wouldnt be like the Lewis fight where Tua pretends like he is chasing him but really takes no chances and doesnt want to pay the price to get insde.

Tyson is gonna have target practice.

    Mike Tyson TKO 5th.

True. Tyson`s defense was also better. It would be more like 3 to 1 or 4 to 1. Tua would have trouble landing at all consider he would stop punching when he starts buzzing from Tyson`s shots.

Prime for Prime this is a no brainer.

Maybe Tua has an outside shot against the late 90s version of Tyson that was going off the rails fast. Maybe.

LOL. Please. I'll toy with you *****.

I doubt you've even see any prime Tyson fights, outside of maybe Spinks.

Tua was simply not in Mike's league, and that's not even an opinion.

Mike was better than Tua at virtually EVERY SINGLE FACET of boxing.

    Agree

Tyson`s 14th best win is better than Tua`s best win.

As for Tua's CHIN, Tua bitched out against the hardest puncher he ever faced in Lewis. Once Lewis hit Tua, David decided that he wanted NO MORE of trying to press Lewis, so he stayed outside for 12 rounds like a timid ***** while Lewis jabbed him to death.

Tua's chin is overrated. If he took more chances against Lewis, I have no doubt he would have gotten stretched. Lewis hurt him, and Tua went into a shell.

Anybody that thinks Tyson could NOT hurt Tua is fooling themselves.

Anybody picking Tua over Tyson really isn't taking into account the HUUUGGGEEE gap in handspeed.

Tua was never hit as hard, and as OFTEN as Mike would have hit him. And Tua landing a few hooks to Tyson would do no damage. If Tyson could handle Ruddock's "Smash" then he could handle Tua's overrated left hook.
