Im not going by 'would' Im going by have, end of. TBH this question should have been asked on Sunday morning

But if Barnette beats Brett, he stays above Fedor, if he loses he goes below Fedor based on strength of recent competition. I think that's a fair assesment

How the **** is Overeem number 1? If he can defeat Werdum, he'll lay claim to a much higher spot, but right now he's lucky to be in the top 10. Just because you think he can beat someone doesn't mean **** until he's done it.

Reem is head and shoulders above the restn. I dont need to wait for him to prove it, though ragdolling Rogers and winning the K1 is a pretty good start

If you want to attach more weight to resume, then thats your choice

I actually like this list, except for the assumption that Overeem is beating Werdum until he actually does it. I would have Nogueira ahead of Overeem and Barnett had he a more recent win. That list looks very similar to the list I just updated, dropping Cain a little for his inactivity.

I just can't see how Carwin can be above Fedor.

Because a much lesser skilled fighter in Silva just buldozed Fedor , giving the impression that Velasquez would do a complete number on him , its a bitter pill to swallow but the sport is evolving :deal

I dont like Werdum i never have , i dont like the fact his Elite level grappling gets him out of the **** , that said credit where its due the guy is talented , and is dangerous , im actually praying Overeem destroys him to confirm in my mind at least that Werdum is a pretender , although deep down i know he's not :D , hence his high ranking in my list .

God knows what Overeem would do to Nogueira this day and age , thats the reason ive got Overeem above Nogueira , i mean the word " massacre " springs to mind

Ok man how is Bigfoot much lesser skilled? You make it sound like JDS stings like a bee or something. You can say JDS has better striking sure, but in terms of physical strength it goes well in Bigfoot's favor.

Fedor would have an easier time with JDS and probably get a sub.

Im not going to count the GOAT out, but Fedor v JDS on this weekends card, Id have to go for JDS to take the win

Prime Fedor would get the sub, his striking these days would be to susceptible to a guy with a good jab and TD defence. And his skin always cuts up badly

That's the point. Fedor's striking was based on reflexes like the AA fight for a classic example. No matter who you are, they diminish with age. Factor in inactivity as well

This hurts, but he wont be the top dog at HW again
