The fight now starting at 5am.

Many bars in the UK refusing to fork out huge fees to Sky and/or local councils not approving applications for late licence extensions for what is now an event that may not finish before 6am.

The public know this fight is 5 years past the sell by date.

The time of the fight results in people saying 'would watch if on at a reasonable hour but will give it a miss at that late time'.

The residential PPV buyers may disappoint Sky and it would be great for once if Sky take one right up the arris.

Fook the PPV - I will be at the Casino.

You could be right, I think it will be big but not as huge over here as some people are predicting.

mayweather has been on sky PPV countless times and its proven fact the numbers are more than enough otherwise why would sky keep bothering with it . the fight may be 5 years too late but at the end of the day at 5 years on they are still the 2 best fighters in the division and the fight everyone wants to see . true boxing fans will watch this fight at any hour , 5am UK time is pretty much the norm now for any BIG fight in vegas . as for the clubs and pubs its just there own greed if they stay open to cater for a load of drunks at that hour . most people i know that will be watching the fight will be having a boxing party at home with friends .

Q Why did Sky not show either fighter's fights on Sky Box Office since both Hatton fights?
A Hatton sold the PPVs and the UK public not interested.

Q Why is there little interest in pubs and clubs?
A Not enough public interest at 5am.

Q Will there be more boxing parties on the night than s ex parties in the UK?
    A No chance.

Q Is this a fight between 2 undefeated fighters unifying a division with both fighters at their peak.
A The fight is 5 years past the sell by date.

My reaction was big deal when the fight was announced - the vast majority of the UK public lacking interest in a fight 5 years past the sell by date and on at 5am.

Some of the sheep will listen to the Sky hype but there are less around these days.

pro punter you need to lighten up a bit mate , you sound a really unhappy person while living in that 1 mill house in hammersmith , go give a few quid to the homeless down by the embankment , go make yourself feel better and your posts might become a bit more enjoyable to read .

Just making the point mate - the fight is not generating the interest in the UK that Sky thought.

Sky don't release the numbers so it will be just what gets leaked out.

I don't think it does a million or anything like it.

I'm thinking 300-400k tops and quite possibly a lot less.

yeah, I don't think the excitements anywhere near what it was for froch groves, or Ricky vs mayweather. The 5am start and £20quid puts off a lot of casuals.

The threads about the fight flopping on PPV, and if casuals aren't interested / won't buy, then it'll flop.

If it's an amazing fight wouldn't be shocked if a lot of people buy the repeats when they check their iPad in the morning

I think it does around 500k which should mean that Sky make a profit on it.

Well said. Obsessed with PPV figures and TV stations. Strange when there's so much to talk about on these forums.
