Ummm I hate to be an alarmist but thats the type of Sh*t you sort out in your CONTRACT. If Barrett hasnt signed one........?? Then really they could give him no food money at all in theory. Jeeez man Barrett has been in this game long enough to know contracts are needed to prevent things like this if its true.

To not have a contract signed by both parties is crazy. Afterall Barrett could hold the whole promotion to ransom and demand more money just before the fight if he wanted..............im not suggesting these things shoulsd take place but merely stating what could happen under this so called no contractsituation

This is funny, coz I remember Haye boasting that every HW out there wanted to get that big payday against him - then he offered such lousy money that even second-rate HWs laughed it off and wouldn't take the plane to England. Finally Barrett did and Haye treats him like that - ridiculous.

£30 seems like a hell of a lot to me.

I spend about £30 a week on food for myself. He should stop complaining.

It's common practice for travelling fighters to have their flight payed, to be put up in a hotel and have an expenses allowance, including for food. Haye, as the promoter of this fight, was responsible for making these arrangements. £30/day sounds stingy when you invite an old over the hill American heavyweight to sign a contract for taking a huge beating, but it is the usual allowance you get for food in London. Barrett humiliated himself by making this statement, though.

Okay, he should be stuck in a nice hotel, and possibly get a chauffer (Not sure what the norm is) but £30 a day is loads.

The guy is approaching a title fight, he should not be eating £22 dinners.

Also the whole dinner money concept seems ridiculous, this is a grown man who muat have made at least $1M in his career, you'd think he could pay for his own food.
