Morales - `I want Marquez in may 09`

I dont know how to post links but its on max boxing.com (or something similar, Im hoping you guys know the exact name.)

Morales says `the people have had Morales-Barrera... Morales-Pacquiao... Barrera-Pacquiao... Marquez-Barrera & Marquez-Pacquiao, the only thing missing is Morales-Marquez.`

He also says that he only lost to Pacquiao because he was killing himself to make 130 & Pacman did everything he could to avoid fighting him at 135 (cant see their new found friendship going the distance once Pac reads that )

I think we have another case of a fighter that cant let go & is in denial but what a warrior for even contemplating fighting Marquez when his last win was in march 05 vs Pac.

Its this sort of warrior spirit which has made Morales my favourite fighter but in reality I hope the guy doesnt get badly hurt as JMM & co are still elite fighters... I pray Erik can prove me wrong but I highly doubt it.

Thoughts ?

 

Honestly, Morales would probably pass out trying to lose the weight for this fight. He's so big now

 

I respect Morales and all, but this guy is crazy. I don't want to see him in there with a top guy like Marquez. He doesn't even deserve the fight at this point. I wish he would just retire for good.

 

Sure, if he wants to fight let it be a meaningful one where he can make some money.

 

Maybe if he were to train with Hatton he could lose the weight.

from day one you knew Morales would be this kind of fighter. The kind that fights too hard for too long. It's in his spirit and it is his destiny.

I don't give him much of a chance against Marquez and it may not be in his best interest physically speaking, but I'm sure the guy is mentally/emotionally miserable. He was born to fight and I don't fault him one bit for doing what he loves.

 

Don't do it Erik. This fight is 5 years too late.

 

I wish he could find the same satisfaction training fighters. You gotta love this guy if you like boxing, but the era is over.

The period that started with Hamed and ended with Pac brought back my love for boxing. The greatest era EVER for FW in boxing history imho.

I love him, like there is some serious man-love between us. But he really needs to just let it go. Marquez is still elite, he is far from it.

Morales needs to ****ing stay retired, sweet jesus. He weighs like 180 now, how the hell is he gonna get back into fighting shape? Like he hasnt been in enough wars to begin with

 

I will laugh at Marquez and his fans if he accepts Erik's challenge.
