Rooting for Willie bigtime, it would be great if he could upset the odds. Go Willie !

No...it'd suck if he upset the odds. The last we need is a non-talent British fighter beating a Mexican All-time great. Please...no. National pride shouldn't even come into it, we're Boxing fans.

Your post is perverse in the extreme...how could a "non-talent" beat "an all-time great"? Limond is one of the best pure boxing technicians in this country and If he wins hes done it on merit.

I agree, it doesnt matter where you come from, if it did then my all time favourite fighters would probably be Joe Calzaghe & Ken Buchanan, not Muhammad Ali & Erik Morales.

Its all about the timing of the fight, Berbick holds a win over Ali.

That wont count for anything tho because he`ll never beat Morales in a technical boxing match, his best bet is to force a brawl from start to finish in hope that Morales current physical condition cant cope with that sorta fight anymore.... if Limond tries to out think & outbox Morales, he`s in for a schooling.

I was questioning the use of the phrase "non-talent"

I think I may end up weeping tonight. And they won't be tears of joy.

i don't want to see morales win this fight as he could then be seen as a "credible" opponent by the likes of khan or various other up-and-comers on the lightweight/light-welterweight scene.
