I had Morales to win 7-5. But a draw would be safer outcome than Maidana winning. By the way I expect it would be an easy fight for the Argentinian, it turned out the suppose to be fading Morales showed a good performance and deserved a better applaud from the judges. I think El Terrible won this one.

I think I had it (from memory)

    Maidana: 1,2,3,4, 9,11, 12
    Morales 5,6,7,8,10

Morales just didn't do enough in the rounds I gave to Maidana

A draw was probably the best decision. But is it really important ? Erik Morales showed the world something we didn't witness in boxing, and even beyond, for a long time. Something that fighters like Floyd Mayweather and many others would never achieve in their boxing career.
Many will probably use this show to claim that Morales is greater than Barrera (he already was in my book) but he sure as hell doesn't care and just do his job with an iron will and a great discipline.
El Terrible made it (once again) to greatness and is up there with the likes of Ali, Duran. Not in term of accomplishment but in term of respect and honor.
Words unknown for many men in this world.

What has Maidana have that Katsidis does not have? Power and chin. Everything else is probably the same.

There is a reason why JMM did not want to fight Morales. He ain't a chinny guy.

I seriously want to know how anyone can watch the first 4rounds, 9, 11, 12 and give more than 2 of those to Morales, I mean seriously?

Had Morales won the championship rounds, I would've had him up 8-4. He lost those rounds clearly, so I had it a draw. But Morales showed more and really impressed me.

I would watch & score it today but youtube is being uncool right now and took down the fight. Hopefully it's on replay on HBO so I can see it within a week but I don't want to wait that long I wanna see it now.

Draw! great fight for EM...I think MOTIVATION for EM at the moment is key to perfrom at this level. EM will fight UP to his competition level so he needs to stay active with MEANINGFUL fights and keep his interest solid if he continues. Great, great fight and great performance by EM. Props to Marcos as well.

what the **** are you on?

How is it props to Marcos as well?

Do you know how big a favourite he was to win the fight, how can you give him any props, narrowly beating a shot fighter who was huffing and puffing and fighting half rounds.:patsch

He came to fight....Marcos is a warrior without a doubt. He's what he is which is a brawler with power but limited technically. He makes up for a lot with his relentless attitude and warrior spirit.

I gave Floyd props for beating Hatton even though it took him 10 rounds against a fighter that was smaller, not on his level and made to order. Floyd should have stopped hatton and JMM for that matter, but he wasnt able to...that doesn't mean he doesn't get props for the fight. Marcos won...he had a harder time than expected but it says a lot about what it takes to become an LEGIT ATG. Which EM has proven and solidified after last night.
