He had bone cancer which would affect his red blood cell count. I don't know if he fully recovered.

He supposed to be fully recovered, but cancer can reoccur so it's pretty probable that they have him on some meds to keep it in check.
One of the two treatment procedures for treating his form of cancer is to inject steroids directly into the bone marrow, which is pretty painful.

 

I'm sure he's cancer free. I'm saying post cancer and treatment, he might not have recovered normal red blood cell count and function.

If you take something to increase red blood cells, you're jumping into the PED zone.

It's definitely a miracle that he recovered to the extent where he can still box, and box at this level.

No idea of how recovered he is but cancer of the bone marrow/blood spreads ALL over the body, so it's pretty certain that he is being monitored frequently and using prescribed steroids.

Of all the boxing drug cheats, Jacobs is probably the only one is has a life & death justifiable cause and reason. He doesn't need to use weak and Halfassed (WAH) excuses like Povetkin and his fans.

This. Governing bodies usually defer to the state commission. But if both sides wanted testing, it should been written in the contract and enforced.

Inside of 7 weeks before fight time and Jacobs has still not been tested once by VADA. His paperwork was submitted late last week but it has not gone through yet and there is no telling when his first test will actually take place if at all. Jacobs is also NOT enrolled in the VADA clean boxer program and never used anything more tha a post fight State commission test for any of his fights.

While the man who gets constantly micro managed and accused of everything short of selling poison milk to school children IS enrolled in VADA's clean boxers program and has been subjected to unannounced year round testing. GGG is clearly being targeted here by VADA who is an arm of WADA, who's board members are all from N. America, W. Euorpe or the Middle East. They are not here to clean up anything, merely maintain the status quo and create unlevel playing fields that favor primarily N. American boxers.

For a message board where so many grand stand over PED's and the sports myriad in injustices you crusades and GGG haters have fallen silent on this glaring case of privilege and collusion. Guess everything is fine when they screw with Povetkin and GGG but when Wilder and Jacobs are affored privilege and protecting then everything is hushed and swept under your roach infested refrigerators.
