    There is plenty of more deserving guys out there ... Mormeck did not earn his shot.

    Who? ... beside Arreola who seems to be refusing fight in November there are
    Povetkin, Dimitrenko, Boytsov, even Helenius & Wach are more deserving than Mormeck.

    Adamek and Haye are out of the scope until they redeem themselves with a single win.

    I voted he should fight someone else..... Wlad's people should take every name of every hw in the top 75 of boxrec who is 33 or younger and at least 6'2 and place those names in a hat and draw lots -- there's a good chance that anyone he picks out who takes the fight would present more of a challenge than mormeck would

    I also think staying inactive would be a better option than facing mormeck. There's always a chance he could suffer some career delaying (or worse) injury and why risk it for the most meaningless of fights. Plus, Wlad's 34 and I'd rather he stay fresh through light sparring and rest for the next possible challenge

    Hmm... I believe that's how they basically chose Mormeck in the first place. Without the age/height precondition of course.

    I do believe wlad would have been better just not fighting here. This fight genuinely offers nothing for his legacy.

    If he could pass it off as a mandatory defence I think only a fool would criticise him but it seems to be a voluntary defence :-(

    Is that set in stone? Or could he have pushed for a date in january or feb?

    I get he wants to be as active as ever, he's made the big time and he wants to reap the rewards that's perfectly understandable but consider your timeline.

    July = haye
    December = jmm
    April = arreola

    Over 9 months it could be seen as him wasting his best years.

    I genuinely don't know how you guys (training team) take this fight seriously. You must know it won't go beyond 3 rounds and that wlad will never have to leave first gear.

    Is there any plans for a quick turnaround like say a fight within 2 months or something?

    Was jmm really the only man to respond?

    Yeah, no ****. I can only imagine how some of these people would've whined over some of Ali's defenses in the 70s. Richard Dunn anyone??:lol:

    It's pretty funny that some of the biggest whiners on here were the same posters who talked up Haye's chances of beating Wlad in July.

    They are well aware that Mormeck is the finest win on Haye's resume.

    It's a lopsided match-up, no doubt. But a historical mismatch? Come on. Mormeck was a long-time cruiser champ.

    Mormeck is EASILY a better opponent then the likes of

    Audley Harrison, Albert Sosnowski, Ray Austin, Matt Skelton, Hasim Rahman or Rob Calloway (on edit....we can add Owen Beck and Carl Drumond to this list as well)

    These are just a few of the unworthy heavyweight title challengers in recent years.

    Did Calloway really get a title shot at one of the four majors? That truly would be way more shocking than mormeck. At any rate I'd take everyone else as stiffer challenges than mormeck tho mormeck w/ three "wins" at hw is probably on paper resume alone more worthy than them

    I would think resume is the thing that matters. Mormeck was a long-time cruiser champion and has wins (however narrow) over 2 credible heavyweights. Compared to Mormeck; Fraudley, Sos, Drumond, Beck and Skelton did jack **** to earn title shots.

    There is definitely no case for these 3 being better challengers than JMM. Guys like Rahman or Briggs are borderline...certainly undeserving but like Mormeck their past accomplishments lent them some credibility.

    K2 are in their late 30s...they are interested in legacy so they want to take on accomplished boxers their own age.

    I'm not trying to defend this as a good match-up but the exaggerations are pretty pathetic.

    its not my job to make fights. Its my job to have both brothers ready for the fight. Nothing will change. Wlad will be ready for Mormeck just like he has been ready for every fight

    Its not so easy to just say Jan, or Feb. Jan will never happen as wlad wont force his team to be in camp during the Holidays.... feb maybe... depends on TV dates and also Vitalis next fight

    From what I am hearing ...yes.... the only to respond

  15. mormeck will outknock wladamir! hayemacer had problem with mormek so wladamir will lose to supermascular mormeck!! KOOOOO you see
