IF you consider him lb 4 lb number one whatever but he is not the number 1 welter....despite what ring or anyone else says

OMG this is so true....Im like r we talking about the same people on this site.....

 

Mosley sure isnt in his prime as he was in the first DLH Fight but I will say since the Winky Wright fights shane has looked better nearly each time out, knocking out, Vargas twice, Mayorga, Margarito while at the same time fighting a close fight with Cotto that could have gone either way.

Sure the man is older but it hasnt shown when you expected it to show.... it might show in this fight though the style of Mayweather is going to make this fight look like the rematch Mosley had with DLH and the trouble he had dealing with that style, However the difference in this fight is that Floyd isnt as willing to risk as much as Oscar was willing to and lets not forget Mosley still won that fight, but I bet those who are on Floyds side will say he lost even though after the fight they were all saying that he won it...

I fully expect Floyd supporters to continue to tailor their arguements so they can grasp any bit of confidence they need to. on top of that lets just be real Floyd should win we hope he does, But even a win here does not secure a fight with Pacquiao, Floyds people told Mannys people he needed more time before he fought Manny after having that long of a lay off, which is something your not hearing in the media.... its not about testing its really about Floyd getting his mind set right before taking on a fighter like Manny Pacquiao.... dont expect him to though... he has ducked much lesser fighters.....

 

I mean how can someone who has not won a title at the 147lb limit be the best welter

He won the title from someone who lost the legitimate title to the man who lost that title to the man who has his title today SHANE MOSLEY

NOT to mention he won the title at 145lb from someone who wouldn't be ranked higher than margarito had margarito not been expelled from boxing

I just dont see how that one win makes him the best welter out there...

even though its not far fetched he was coming off a 2 year layoff...but if that was the case then why try and fight mosley a fight even legit floyd fans could say he really didn't want

I don't know how this little tidbit of info managed to elude you while you perused the Ring's Welterweight rankings, but Shane Mosley does not hold the Ring title. He did not beat the man holding that title, either, because that title was stripped from him the moment it was discovered that he had cheated to earn it in the first place.

Had Mosley fought Margarito with his handwraps in place and won, he'd be the Ring champion. But he fought an already defeated, watered down version of that guy. This fact seems obvious to all but Floyd's most "ardent supporters," to put it kindly.

 

basically :rofl .....pac won the title from cotto at 145 who lost his legit title to margarito at 147 who then lost that same title to mosley at 147.....

MOSLEY IS THE #1 welter not pac....

and ur insinuating that the people at ring magazine believed that margarito cheated his way to the title (i personally do believe that but my opinion doesn't matter right)

Sorry dope, Floyd supporters are not the one that made Margarito the invisible force of destruction that you Floyd haters did.

We saw that he lost to a green Paul Williams, we saw that he almost lost to Joshua clottey, it was you haters that saw his destruction of defensive seive in Cotto that put him on that pedistal.

Margarito was who we thought he was all along. Its you haters that were confused.

Pacquiao is ranked #1, aka #1 contender. There is no current Ring champion at 147.
