Bogart, Judah and Mosley are at a much higher level of technical and strategical wisdom and they would make it to determine who is the best contender/non-titlist at 147 pounds and strike one of them out without a shadow of a doubt. Mosley can only fight one way against the much inferior boxer and over-matched Mayorga and that is to muscle up and slug it out with the slugger - the risk is always there when an aging fighter like Mosley takes a physical fight with a pure slugger. If he wins impressive, it still doesn't help his marketability or to set up a superfight with the above mentioned rightaway whereas a non-impressive win over Judah puts him in a position where he cannot be denied by those. Shane is in the descending curbe of his career and doesn't need these kind of fights, not even for money, he already fought twice the guy who was beaten by Tito and Hoya before in Vargas... This fan friendly concept of a fight can only help Mayorga to get this one and that is not what Richard Schaefer ought to do in order to protect GBP fighter Shane Mosley interest.
There still isn't any reason to suggest he'd be better @ higher weights then Shane. Shane couod bulk up to 160 and still be 10 times better then Mayorga. Both fought @ 154 and SHane looked better and had more success. @ 168 with both lookin flabby, I'd still take Shane, simply because he knows how to box and is smart. I understand what you are talkinga about....yea yea..Shane might not be able to hurt Mayorga. THat's untrue, all fightes get hurt in one way or another. Mayorga MIGHT try walking through punches, but they WILL hav an effect on him. He can only take so many clean punches before he gets discouraged and tries somethig else. Unfortunately for Mayorga, Plan B doesn't exsist. ANd last I looked, Mayorga hasn't brought that overrated power to 154 or 160 anyway. The only reason you think Shane can't fight above 154 is because he hasn't tried that yet. ANd you might be right. At that weight, I think Shane would have trouble with legit MW's. But Mayorga isn't one those. Not even close.
Water off his back. Shane would probably be rollin hs eyes back after the stuff Mayorga says. Not to mention, SHane doesn;t understant Nicaruaguan as far as I know.
Although this fight would do nothing for Mosley's ranking - it would be a great fight from bell to bell. Mosley would stop Mayorga in five.
But that **** won't hurt Mosley like it did Vernon. Mayorga barely beat an older Vargas and hasn't really hurt anyone in along time. This is a mismatch.
