The way I see it, they are pretty much even.

Shane turned down Floyd while he was obviously having wifey trouble.

Floyd is turning down Shane using his retirement as an excuse.

Whatever happened before that between them is ancient history.

The same interview where Mosley mentions the toothace.. He mentions that Floyd came up and congratulated him on the win and asked for a fight.

The only real time that Mosley didn't pursue a possible Mayweather fight is when he was given a backseat to his boss De La Hoya whom wasn't gonna let go of all the millions he was about to generate...

When Merchant talked about a possible Mayweather fight with Mosley, Shane didn't want to put Oscar on the spot for not wanting the fight, therefore he talked a little non sense about his teeth, etc...

LMAO at this thread. A Floyd hugger, trying his damnest to portray Floyd as a victim. Shane I guess ducked Floyd and his pot shotting ways, and probably decision, to face the likes of Maragrito and Cotto and the threat of REAL pain. LMAO, Floyd fans make me sick. Floyd DID offer Shane in Nov. of 1999. That is AFTER Shane and Oscar had agreed to fight after their upcoming "tune-ups", much the same way the BHop/Oscar fight was prepared. So I guess Shane should fight a fighter in Floyd who was a pro at that time for a little under two years and had no name, with no belt, and no TV station or PPV offering to pick it up, instead of fighting Oscar?? Lol, people will say w/e to make floyd always look like a victim, especially whoever said that Shane back then DEMANDED $10 million. What a flat out lie. What is so funny is BEFORE Shane fought Vargas for the second time in 4 months, SHANE offered Floyd. This was around the beginning of May, about 2 weeks after Floyd fought Zab.(a fighter coming off a loss mind you, really big challenge floyd). Floyd said "Let me rest and get back to you". Well nothing was heard from Floyd until AFTER his fight with Vargas and by then ANYONE with a brain knew Floyd wanted Oscar. Oscar knew this, Shane knew this, the public knew this. So PLEASE NEVER put SHANE and the word DODGING in the same sentence, especially the numb ass that started this thread. Lets get something straight, Floyd grew up as SAYING Shane was his idol!!!! That says enough to me. Shane HAS WANTED this fight for YEARS. Hopefully he will get his chance to kick Floyds scared ass up and down the Vegas strip!!

Shane declined the fight and claimed tooth ache after the Vargas fights.

Shane didn't duck to fight Cotto and Margo.

Look at Shanes next opponent after Vargas.

Let me clarify before someone jumps on me here. Floyd had no belts at lightweight, and at the time Shane had just got done OWING lightweight like no one has since Duran!!! Floyd brought nothing to the table. Floyd BS excuse about why he aint fighting shane is transparent as hell. How ANYONE could defend this ***** and his flip floppin, hypocritical ways is beyond me. He says he don't wanna fight Pacquiao because he is too small, but then signs up to fight Marquez?? WTF is that???? Floyd is full of alibis, and his fans believe them ALL THE TIME. But getting back to Floyd saying Shane is not a PPV draw, hence he will not fight him?? WTF, floyd has done 350,000 buys and under when not fighting a Hatton or Oscar. The fu**er is delusional. Shane does MUCH BETTER than Floyd when not fighting a marquee name. Winky/Shane did 390,000 and 440,000 respectively.........Shane/Cotto did 625,000.........even Vargas/Shane did 325,000+.....LMAO.....Floyd can not draw **** w/o a gatti.....Oscar......Ricky....sad but true FACT!!!

Who cares about Shanes next opponent after Vargas. That becomes irrelevant. Shane offered BEFORE he fought Vargas the second time, PLEASE STOP selectively choosing parts of posts. Floyd has turned him down 3x recently. So i think Floyd is the ducker. Duckin Margs back in the day.....using the media to pretend he really wanted to fight Shane instead of Oscar. You know the media, the source Floyd fans SWEAR is the truth. Man it is easy to get a Floyd fan to believe whatever they hear outta his mouth, like he is the truth TZAR of the world LMAO....Floyd does NOT want any of Shane....

Ez-E....Did you NOT pick up the sarcasm? Your response to me was a little premature. Saying Shane ducked Floyd but still fights the likes of Cotto and Margarito since then....can not see how you did not pick up on that.

Cotto and Clottey expressed a lot of interest in fighting Williams...so that's inaccurate.
