Mosley wasn't "Old" when Berto was fighting him

I'm not discrediting the win, he beat the hell out of him much better than Cotto (Mosley was even with Cotto) BUT he is almost 40 which is old for a WW, I think Pac stops him, But he could have interesting fights with Clottey, Berto, and the belt-holder from Europe but he is no longer elite.

Jeez, Mosley is older not old. He is a gifted and talented fighter. He was not going to win a boxing match with PBF. The TS is correct in that PBF just breaks you down until you are thinking about gameplan D which there is none. Yes, Mayorga gave Mosley a difficult fight , but he is so awkward that he can do that to you. He destroyed Marg and was training so hard to beat Mr. Berto. I like Berto and his guts to take on the fight with Mosley, but Mosley would have stopped him. Mosely is not done and everyone is going to be gunning for him to put his name on their resume. I have a gut feeling Berto vs Mosley will be coming up and you will see a 39 year old WW champ. You don't see 38 or 39 year old WW's. You do need speed and he showed speed, but after that second round, PBF went to another level.

And one of my points is that this happens every single fight regardless of who wins. There are always excuses and there are always haters. So why do you give a **** about it?

He is butt-hurt over those making excuses for Floyd's victory, butt-hurt over them taking credit away from his precious Floyd, and then turns right around and admits that he was one of the ones trying to take away credit from Mosley after his big win over Margo. He participates in the exact same type of irrational bull**** he is so butt-hurt about.

I don't care who you root far, the only thing I am against is throwing irrational bull**** arguments into what could be genuine discussion from which someone could feasibly learn something.

 

The kid is good, but I wouldn't throw him up there so soon to beat Mosley as you say he would if he plays it safe and doesn't get careless. I need to see more of him. He beat Miguel's older brother who belongs at JWW. I can't stand win fighters move up or down to take a chance due to a purse. I like this Irish kid . His handler's should take on one or two more fights and then go after someone like Clottey first.

 

Well, Mosley is 38, so you can say he's "almost 36", give or take, if we're going to introduce a two-year swing for absolutely no reason.

I'd pick Mosley to stop Berto and outpoint Clottey. I can see Mosley giving absolute hell to Pacquiao (who fights nothing like Mayweather and styles make fights) which is the same reason Roach admitted to declining a fight with Mosley. If that's not elite, I don't know what is. Losing to Mayweather hardly constitutes a fall from grace.

No, your right, but who he is and his skill level is what I am pointing at. I still believe he can beat Berto and win another title which 40 year old should not be able to do. Berto and the IBF champ will look at what PBF did and think he is shot. PBF is just the best right now and I don't see anyone beating him. You have to rough him up and go for broke. Outboxing him will not happen. He is going to fight possibly three or more and call it a career. Pac has a puncher's shot and Williams would have to be at 154 or the scenario I posted earlier with Martinez. Who else is left? As far as Mosley, he has at least two fights left in him.

 

But you only make yourself look stupid when you present counter-arguments that are illogical at their very nature. A person can SAY Mosley's age was the reason he lost and there is NO logical counter to that. It is an opinion, unproveable demonstrably or otherwise. When you treat is as a disputable fact and produce what you consider "evidence to the contrary" you only make yourself look stupid.

If your arguments are faulty or irrational, that very fact will lead other people to disregard what you are saying, even when you are right!
