Dont let the fight with Margarito fool you I think Margarito was just a slower fighter who couldnt handle shanes speed. Pacqiao has hand speed and he hits hard but a fight with Mosley will be much harder for Pacqiao than what hes came across with Hatton and De La Hoya because Shane can take a punch but the question is how many punches when Pacman throws many at once? but dont forget Shane hits hard but that would be a great fight it would be the real battle of who has the better trainer with less drama Freddie Roach Vs. Naazim Richardson
Pac, JMM, and Cotto get KTFO by PBF imo. SSM could beat him, but I think he loses a UD. SSM would smoke Pac.
Mosley could definitely be Manny, no way in hell he beats Floyd. There was a reason he ducked for so many years. Floyd would give Shane trouble all night by keeping that jab in his face.
It was very refreshing to read healy's post. Sometimes the poster get caught way to much in the hype and it was refreshing to hear someones opinion based on how he feels a fight would play out between pbf and ssm, while being respectful to both fighters.
Pacquiao KO's Cotto Shane KO's Pac and Cotto Floyd KO's Pac and Cotto Shane vs Floyd is Floyd's toughest fight. Neither gets stopped in my opinion. Mosley's chin is cast iron, Floyd is too damned tough to hit clean with a succession of punches.
he would beat pac yes but no floyd.remember collazo and cotto when the distance with shane, why cant mayweather.explain or stfu !!
That's the way I'm leaning, but I see this fight as a toss-up. Agreed (and I definitely see Mosley stopping Cotto in a rematch) Disagree, at least on Floyd KO'ing Pac. I saw no evidence that this will happen based on what I saw last night. Floyd KO Cotto? Possibly. Could happen (because Cotto gets extremely tired in late rounds), but I wouldn't bet on it. I absolutely, positively agree with this. Agreed, Mosley's chin is iron and NO WAY can Floyd knock Mosley out. No way, no how! I do think Mosley can stop Floyd, however. Even Marquez (who looked slow and soft) landed numerous flush shots on Floyd throughout the fight. Mosley's straight right is accurate, and he still throws a good left hook and does wicked body work. Hitting Floyd is tough, but I believe Mosley would land his share of flush punches eventually (even if they weren't 'in succession') I really believe that Mosley stops Floyd, and I damn well want to see this fight.
shane did not loose to forrest and winky becuase of their defense, he lost to them bc they were simply better fighters head to head. With winky, winky was just way too big for shane. that was a mismatch. Now with cotto, shane at 36 at the time simply had an off night.
Mosley would fair better against Pac, and I think it would be a great fight, but vs. PBF he wouldn't do ****
Well I'll be honest here. Mayweather is gonna have a rough time with Mosley and Cotto for that matter for a few reasons. With Mosley Floyd is gonna have trouble with size, reach, power, and speed. Marquez was able to hit Mayweather every now and then, just he was too small. He had no power, reach, and speed and for obvious reasons. Mosley won't have that problem. He will use his jab and force Mayweather into exchanges, and he may get hit on some occasions, albeit not getting bothered by that, but he will land and land with power and frequency. And Mayweather will not maintain that same confidence he had with Marquez because when Mosley lands, he's gonna feel the punches. With Cotto, he's gonna have to deal with size, strength, a tight very good guard, and a guy who's good at catching fast fighters in the middle of a combo. What Marquez was able to do on very few occasions against Mayweather, Cotto is going to do it regularly. Cotto's pickaboo stance will nulify Mayweather's left hook and quick right. Because of his good guard, Mayweather won't be able to land as much. On top of that, Cotto will be able to see his punches and counter him much like he did against Judah, Malignaggi, etc. Not to mention how physically strong Cotto is. I expect him to box using head movement(something no one ever does against Mayweather) and land hard to the body. People say he gets tired in the later rounds, but that is against pressure fighters who take good shots like Clottey(and Margarito if you want to ignore his loaded gloves.) The main thing is that Mayweather was against a smaller fighter who was never really in the fight because of size and was able to hit Mayweather. Just he was to small to catch his attention. Mosley and Cotto are both bigger, stronger and terrific boxers. When they connect Mayweather is gonna feel it and thats when your gonna see Mayweather deal with a challenge.
